It's the fan shaped tiara that now is in the posession of the queen, she's never worn it but borrowed it for several years to Princess Margaret and then Princess Anne.

The scroll taira which was worn by Princess Margaret and Princess Anne before their marriages. It wasn't seen since the early 1970's.

I always loved the workmanship in this tiara. I wonder if it could be turned around and worn as a necklace.

What a lovely tiara!

Perhaps we will get to see it on Princess Eugenie one day (although the tiara opportunities for the York princesses are slim to none). She resembles the Queen Mother in many ways.

I was also thinking that it would fit perfectly on Princess Eugenie. They may not have many tiara events in their future, but the Diamond Jubilee is coming up. Im expecting a tour de force of royal splender in 2012. She does resemble the Queen Mother quite a bit. I think by scroll they mean they way it unwinds like a scroll, but thats just me being creative.

It's such a beautiful tiara!It doesn't have a complicated design,which makes it ideal for a young princess,Eugenie,Beatrice or Zara

Agree it is a lovely tiara for a young royal. Any better or more detailed photos of it that you can post? I'd not seen this one before...

Does anyone know what became of this necklace? It would make a gorgeous tiara...like a GIANT version of Mette-Marit's wedding tiara.

The Queen Mother wore the Teck Circle necklace as a tiara at least once. If it was left to Margaret it would have passed to her son or daughter. If it was "on loan" it would have been returned to HM. I'd guess it would remain with the Teck Tiara so hopefully they are both now in the BP vaults.

As in S*S*S*S*, if one imagines the S's to be diagonal and the * to be solitaires...does that make sense?

The Teck Circle necklace was given to Princess Margaret by her mother. It was not included in the sale of her jewels after her death, so presumbly it was either returned to The Queen or retained by Lady Sarah or Viscount Linley.
