Oh, I realised just now! On her 25th wedding anniversary the Queen wore a silver dress, and on her 50th anniversary she wore a golden dress.

And on her 60th anniversary? Will she wear a dress covered with diamonds??!

Yes,i hope so.The Queen's Dimond Wedding Anniversary will be on 20 November 2007. It's will be so wonderful if Her Majesty wear a dimond dress.

This is one of my favourite brooches: the Cullinan V brooch.

Her Majesty wore it at Easter service today.

Last year at the Royal Windsor Horse Show and another engagement few days after
(links to these two pictures were posted by Micas in an older thread.)

Yes, that is a lovely brooch. I think I've seen a photo of Queen Mary wearing all the major Cullinan stones. She seemed to be able to carry off that sort of thing; nowadays it'd just look ostentatious.

The yellow and white diamond wattle brooch the Queen is wearing was presented to her by the Australian Government during her Commonwealth tour in 1954.

Sorry to sound snobbish but HM does not do "bling"! She wears jewels that befit her station in life and her subjects expectations of that station. "Bling" is done by rap stars and the like.

However, with just a touch of class and imagination, it is transformed into an elegant and beautiful work of art.

I think it is the necklace given to the Queen by Shiekh Rashid. See post #14 of this thread to see this necklace and the other presents given to the queen

thank you A.C.C. but i can't visit the photobucket site(i also have problem visiting all tripod/msnuser/angelfire/geocities sites.........poor internet connection).

is the brooch Queen Elizabeth wear on this picture(http://www.royal-magazin.de/england/queen/queens-treasure.htm) the Cullinan III+IV?

and on the same page, the brooch on Queen Mary's sashes, are they III+IV or I+II?
i also heard that Queen Mary put Cullinan diamonds to the Cambridge Emerald, i wonder which of the Cullinans are added to the Emeralds...
