One of my favorites from the Queen:

The Royal Order of Sartorial Splendor: Sunday Brooch: Prince Albert's Sapphire

It's stunning!

That is a beautifully substantial sapphire with stunning color and gorgeous diamonds. Prince Albert sure had taste. I wouldn't mind a copy of this myself, only the genuine article of course!!

How about one of her best-known brooches, the Williamson Diamond?

The Royal Order of Sartorial Splendor

And I love the picture with Queen Mary eying that diamond quite covetously!

My favorite as well. In honor of the jubilee there are an amazing set if hand made cards with a few key pieces being sold at the palace gift shops.... The Williamson brooch is one of the lucky few honored. I and the entire set framed and matted.

This brooch is beautiful, one of the best in HM's possession. She really knows how to wear the brooches.

I've just find a photo of a very young Queen Elizabeth wearing the lower part of Queen Mary's stomacher as a brooch on her sash:

(here's QM's stomacher:Nota di reindirizzamento)

Wonderful picture, well done for sharing it with us all.
Very nice to see the fringe necklace in use, as well as what I think are the Greville earrings and the brooch from the stomacher.

Could anyone identify the brooch the Queen wore for today's ceremony?
I know I've seen it before but no matter how hard I try, the name just eludes me.

Take a look at this link, second brooch down. I'm pretty sure this is the one you're referring to:

Queen Elizabeth II - Brooches 1: December 2003-October 2009

Yes, they are grand. I'm glad I have the temperment to be able to admire them without longing to own them. The Williamson Pink is just stupendous, not only because it is beautiful, but also because it's the biggest Pink around!

Prince Albert's sapphire is one of the prettiest sapphires I've ever seen. Truly beautiful color.

The Royal Order of Sartorial Splendor: Sunday Brooch: The Cambridge Pearl Pendant

I LOVE this brooch! It's so classic and elegant. That pearl is goregous! I also love it even more since it was an inspiration for the wonderful Cambridge tiara!

Pearls! Be still, my heart. Pearls are so classic and can be worn with most anything. This is a true beauty and those diamonds are such a nice size.

That is one absolutely stunning brooch!
I wonder if the present Duchess of Cambridge will ever get to wear it; that would be quite symbolic.

I'm probably the ONLY one who does not like the drop on this pearl brooch, but do DO love the circular diamond pearl top part.

And I love the pearl drop since it elevates the brooch from a simple button design. I wonder if it's detachable, though all the photos show it being worn.

Does anyone know what brooch QEII is wearing for today's visit? the DoC's poppies are fully visible, but I can't quite see the inside upper portion of her majesty's.

Indeed it is the paisley brooch that was previously used by QEQM. HM has recently used this brooch a fair amount.
