Last week should go down in history as a Brooch-a-pa-loo-za for HM. My head is still spinning!

I think the message from HM / BP was loud and clear: she is still very much in the game, and knows how to dazzle the French!

Could not help feeling sorry for the Replublique, knowing that we had HM and the DoE, and their Head of State was Hollande!

Don't see the problem. President Hollande treated HM and Prince Philip with great courtesy and seemed to enjoy their company. Any gaffes he may or may not have made were probably a result of being blinded by the glare of their smiles and her gorgeous, fantastic, stupendous, magnificent (well you get the picture) brooches!

Let's face it, we are biased because we have the biggest guns of all . . . that dynamic duo HM Queen Elizabeth II and her Consort Prince Philip Duke of Edinburgh. There isn't a royal state or a republic that could beat that because they are the quintessential royals, they put the "Royal" in Highnesses and the Majesty in royal.

It's a brooch from royal jeweler G.Collins & Sons.

It was mentioned by the presenters or broadcasters of Royal Ascot during the Live coverage.

Can't decide if I like that one or not. The diamonds are lovely, but it looks like a huge bug.

Could they be 2 swans, a large one in front of a small one? That was my first impression when I saw it. And isn't she the keeper of the swans? Can't remember where I read it, yet there is something about HM and swans.
I like the brooch, it's a fantasy type brooch.
My very favorite was the outstanding brooch, the waterfall that she wore in France...............omg that was beyond anything I have ever seen.

You are right they are two swans! And she is the keeper of the swans.
And I thought it was a bug.
I think I like it a little better, now knowing what it is.

The Queen is lovely in cream as she arrives to see the royal steeds compete at Royal Ascot | Mail Online

At Ascot today (Day 2), HM reused one of the brooches that made their debut in Paris earlier this month. It was not the Botswana wheat brooch, but the other silver / gold rose brooch.

This multi-coloured gold spray looks really pretty on this outfit. Makes me like it a lot more!

I like this brooch and I liked the outfit. MY problem is that it looks as if the brooch is too heavy for the material which is affecting the lie of the collar.

So best I just help her out and take it off her hands.

Actually, I'd love to take Camilla's gorgeous pink stone and pearl choker off her hands (or rather, neck).....
