The coral rose brooch is lovely! I haven't seen it before. Reminds me of this Cartier brooch which is auctioned this month at Christie's. I wonder if it is the same maker...:

I think these are the maple leaf brooches, once belonging to Queen Mother which had been given them by the people of Canada.

The first pic is the diamond NZ Fern Brooch, presented to HM in 1953. The second pic looks like one of the bow brooches. 3. Her Majesty looks so lovely in this photo::)

The Queen's brooches are fabulous. So unique and antique. And she looks so refreshing in that blue color, she seems to really be enjoying herself. Great pics.

As i have read in a book or a magazine before it said that Her Majesty may have more than 100 brooches.

I just got the new issue of Majesty, the one with the Queen wearing a pink suit with black buttons on the cover (Vo. 26, No. 7). On the cover she's shown wearing a brooch that has a small pink rose on the inside (it looks like a miniature possibly).
Does anyone know where that brooch came from? Is it possibly the Queen Mother's and a reference to the York Rose? |
