She's not going to give much away, instead teasing us by occasionally dusting off a long-lost stunner, just to remind us all that even in her 80s she knows full-well the allure of Royal Jewels, and to show that she is quite capable of surprises.

Although I find it frustrating, it does make me love her more. She's quite a character!

I think it was part of a three-piece stomacher owned by Q.Victoria, and worn by Q. Alexandra and Q. Mary at their coronations. You can see it in a few pictures in Amazon.com: Queen's Jewels: LESLIE FIELD: Books . The side portions kind of look like wings. There is one picture of QM wearing the two side portions togethor and using another brooch as a drop pendant. QEQM wore only the center portion (the giant starburst brooch) at her coronation, although it's not visible in the one picture they included of her at that time.

The Queen has said that as she get older she looks more like grany!Mabe more of the jewels will come out soon

HM wore a blue cocktail dress in Turkey, but the very large diamond brooch (appears to be pinning on a silky shoulder train on one shoulder) is difficult to identify due to the patterns on the lace. Any ideas anyone? Pics are on most of the usual websites....
It looks rather large and is not the Jardine Star.

I see that HM wore her pretty diamond & ruby butterfly brooch again at a garden p arty yesterday (22 July 08). I think I've asked before but does anyone know anything about this one? I've only seen it about 5 times in all but have no history on it at all.

In Fields book on page 23 it says, "they are from Cartier and were given to her by her parents on her 18th birthday in 1944".

This gold flower set with diamonds was made by contemporary jeweller Andrew Grima and was a family gift to HM. I don't have his biography to hand but I thinks this may have come from Princess Margaret. You should be familiar with it - it's almost invariably the most frequently worn of all the Queen's many brooches.

I believe this folded net brooch with the three diamond leaves may have been one of HM's wedding gifts. She does not wear this one very often. It currently stands at number 27 in the data I have collected, and I have only 13 wearings (including Vodaphone)

I hope this list is a bit sufficient to all people who like and adore Her Majesty The Queen (and her brooches of course). I don't know them all, but these are certainly the pieces I know by name. Perhaps someone can help to trace the rest?

Not all of The Queen's activities during October and November are listed, because the photographers in the Audience Room do not have the chance regularly to picture the brooch she is wearing. Mostly during Investitures and Audiences, the photographs are taken from behind or from the side and that causes difficulties to recognise them.
