The Royal Order of Sartorial Splendor: Tiara Thursday: The Mellerio Sapphire Tiara
This is a beautiful tiara! Love the sapphires and the design. The necklace is also stunning as well. However, I am not a fan of the second setting. There is something about the design that I don't like.

The color of these sapphires is the perfect color. I don't love really dark sapphires, I love this true blue. I am bothered that when Bea wears it her hair covers up the beautiful design...but I don't think she is going to change her puffy do so I'll deal with it!

Could one of the experts on Dutch royal jewels share any information on the lovely earrings and brooch Queen Beatrix wore today (October 10)?

Here are shots of her engagement ring:

This is one of my least favorite royal engagement rings. Not liking the design at all.

Closeups of Queen Beatrix
She wore her aquamarine tiara with her collette necklace with mammoth aquamarine pendant and brooch

...and the Wurttenberg tiara the previous evening. This is such a beautiful tiara IMO.

Queen Juliana’s Aquamarine Parure
I absolutely love this parure, especially the versatility of all the elements and the fact the Queen lends them to her daughters-in-law and sister quite often.

Queen Emma’s Diamond Tiara
Quote:
Queen Emma’s Diamond Tiara was commissioned by King William III of the Netherlands for his second wife, Queen Emma in 1890. It was created by Royal Begeer and specifically designed to be able to incorporate the five of the six 12-pointed stars Queen Emma had received as a wedding gift in 1879 from her new relatives, the Von Wieds. The sixth star was left to be used as a brooch.

Why is the ring she wore during announcing her abdication reminding me on the engagement ring of the Duchess of Cambridge?
Here is a picture showing her with the ring:

Beatrix has lovely defined cheekbones that a lot of women wish they had.

The Royal Order of Sartorial Splendor: Tiara Thursday: The Württemberg Ornate Pearl Tiara
One of my favorite tiaras in the Dutch royal collection! It's a great size, and has a very classic and regal appearance. I just love the tiara with the pearl toppers, personally I don't think it makes the tiara too tall. A very magnificent tiara that's perfect for a Queen.

I didn't like it in the wedding photo's of Quee Beatrix,I thought it looked lost in her large veil, but it is indeed a very lovely tiara, perhaps the future Queen Consort may wear it on Aptil 30th

I would like for the lower row of pearls be restored so the top would have an even line. I think the top row of pearls is a little too much, in all honesty.

I'd agree wth you there as those pearls look rather large and could well be used for a new tiara?

Or maybe another option for the Pearl Button Tiara?

Aren't the drop shaped pearls already used on the pearl version of the emerald tiara? Perhaps they are already used for other jewels too, earrings perhaps? It is difficult to see the difference between them.
I am not convinced that the Dutch RF needs another 'pointy' tiara btw, they already have quite a few of those.
IF the drop pearls are really just lying around it should be nice to make some sort of necklace out of them, the Dutch don't have/use too many as HM seems to prefer simple rivieres or an open neck.
