The Royal Order of Sartorial Splendor: Tiara Thursday: The Flora Danica Tiara

This tiara is one of my least favorites. The design is too modern for my taste, and it looks kind of cheap looking to me. Nothing really to compliment except the color of those amethysts.

HM - silver is a strange material for a Tiara - as it will blacken quite quickly, so I am wondering if it is really all silver.....
I am not yet decided if I like it or not - would love to see a bigger from Pr. Marie - and maybe a video to see it in motion...

...and while we are at the wish list - can we also see CP Letizia wearing her contemporary tiara too please? :-)

Complicated reaction- i'm not crazy about this Tiara, except in close-up.
I love the amethyst balls. I love that Marie's favorite stone is Ametyst, she has good taste, it's mine too.
Overall, I like this Tiara better than her other one.

wow, marie was given this tiara such a long time ago, that i am happy to finally see her using it :)
i wouldn't say it's my favourite - like mary's, those flora danica tiaras are not my cup of tea - and would prefer the classic tiaras, but it's nice for a change, especially on marie as she only uses her wedding tiara (unlike mary, who regularly uses both her wedding tiara and the rubies).

In the photo of Marie you cant really see the amethysts, maybe in person. I think it needs grand amethyst earrings to bring out the color.

I also prefer the more traditional tiaras and can't really say this floral one is my cup of tea.

No, but in the close up On the Royal order of Sartorial splendor link you can, and they are gorgeous.
I agree some earrings would be good.
Anything is a nicer option than the Golden poppies!
Also, Little OT, but someone was talking about how Mary always wears her Rubies- that's fine with me, cannot get enough!

It's a pretty tiara but I agree with some of the other posters that the amethyst cabochons get lost in the base; being Marie's favourite stones they should've been featured from prominently. I didn't even realize the tiara had amethysts until the saw the close up picture.

Or maybe Marie should just have A tiara made with amethysts.

I've recently updated my posts on some Scandinavian tiaras and I would love some feedback. Here are the tiaras that Princess Marie has worn.

Amethyst Lily Tiara
Diamond Floral Tiara

Thanks in advance!

Our Marie has been seen wearing a new ring, instead of her wedding ring in fact.
Here it is: https://app.box.com/s/0uzfw3ami3wsk4wazzz2

There are no further details except that they are adorned with diamonds.
