she is a very modern woman. I like that. I think she is an icon for the women of today with her own office, her modern trend setting clthes and her charming smile an care for the people.

I like the bracelet (??) that she is wearing. It's really pretty. I don't really like nor do I wear big, dangly earrings, therefore, I don't like Laurentien's. The two items of jewellery go together, but they don't really fit with her outfit. They're different kinds of greens.

No she hasn't. All the historical pieces will remain in the family foundation. A counsil has to decide what happens to them (counsil consits of family members), so the Queen is not free to do with them what she wants anyway.

Here Laurentien is wearring a brooch and earrings from the emerald parure (the emeralds of the earrings were originally on top of the tiara, but removed by Queen Juliana):

Thank you for the pics Josefine. Did anyone else notice that the amethyst earrings she wore in the first pic are the same ones Princess Maxima wore to a gala 2 weeks ago? I cant be sure, I thought they looked like costume Any info?
