Princess Charlotte was created a princess after her adoption and legitimatization. Her mother was an entertainer, and companion of Prince Louis. Charlotte renounced her rights in favor of her son Rainier.

She was an unhappy, bitter woman. Her married to Prince Prince Pierre de Polignac was one of the unhappiest royal marriages of all time.

She's had some gorgeous necklaces, does anyone have any pictures of some of the more spectacular ones? The discussion about Charlotte's facinating, but would probably be better served in the Monaco forum.

All those tiaras worn by the former German royal families just shows how connected they used to be. There are quite alot of grand tiaras in those families, some of them are even better than the current royal families.

nice pics...Caroline doesn't seem to wear her tiaras as often as other royals do in my opinion...i was just wondering does she have two separate tiaras one for being the Princess of Monaco and one for being Princess of Hannover? oh and are certain tiaras for certain titles?

My question is about this pendant worn by Charlotte Casiraghi:
(Source: young_royalty yahoo group)

Has Caroline ever worn this? I'm curious to know if it is a Grimaldi family jewel. It has the look of "serious" jewelry and not just something Char would have bought at the Galleries Lafayettes or some place like that!
Could this be something Caroline loaned to her daughter?

Caroline tends to wear costume jewelry too -- such as the necklace with shell-like pieces, and jewelry with semi-precious stones (aquamarine, corals, etc).
Although she looks great and has elegant tastes, I wish she would wear more "serious" jewelry that will elevate the Princely Family of Monaco even more.

Princess Grace had the same tendencies, but because she was a blonde and had such an "actress mentality", she would wear fantastic hairpieces that would eclipse even the biggest of tiaras and crowns worn by other royals in events. No matter how outstanding the tiaras the queens, princesses, and duchesses wore, it was Princess Grace and her beauty and dramatic presentation which would attract you the most.
