Princess Astrid Of Belgium Jewellery
Is there anyone on the board who might be able to share with us which tiara's she owns? Which tiara's might be worn by her boys' brides?

As far as I know princess Astrid has only worn 1 tiara: the Savoy-Aosta tiara. It's an heirloom of her mother-in-law, princess Margherita of savoy.
The tiara has a designof leaves and berries.

It truley is a beautiful tiara, I am sure that the Royla Jewels of the World site has a beautiful page on it, I will have to check it out. I am surprised that she doesn't have a tiara from her side of the family. Being that she is Albert and Paola's only daughter.

Princess Astrid did wear another diamond tiara when she attended the Silver wedding celebrations of Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik of enmark in 1992. It too was a tiara owned by her husband's family, probably provenance from his mother and the Savoy-Aostas. It was worn by Archduchess Isabelle (Lorenz' sister) for her wedding in 1997.

There is no picture online. The link was only to show which tiara I was talking about. I have a picture in a book (though not too good it clearly shows her wearing this tiara), but am unable to scan it now.

I've read in books that members of the Hapsburg family all have a distinct 'hapsburg' nose i don't know what that kind of nose looks like but i'm wondering if by any chance that is the nose that Princess Astrid has inherited??? hahaha...i know it sounds silly but that's what i read hahaha
p.s. sorry with its irrelevane to the topic but i was just looking at the pics of Astrid and wondering if that was the 'Hapsburg' nose hahaha
