I cannot imagine wearing plastic earrings to an official engagement portrait, considering that her engagement ring is so beautiful and impressive. In addition, the family that she is marrying into is among the wealthiest in Europe and her own family is not poor either.

You've got to love a girl who masters the art of a chic updo to display those lovely earrings so well.

The earrings are really pretty, and her up-do shows them off nicely. The ring is elegant, but as someone stated earlier, too squarish for my taste.

now that's what I call an engagement ring! simply beautiful and very elegant. maybe the earrings are no longer available because they are from an earlier spring/summer collection ? as swarovski is an austrian company I am pretty sure they were available a few years ago

The Ring

Absolutely stunning! Beautiful design, perfect size etc. Definitely puts to shame other royal e-rings from the North...

I guess I'm in the minority, because I don't like either the ring or the earrings.

But I never care for Swarovski; they are so ubiquitous!
The ring is too large and too square for my taste. As someone said, it seems more suitable for Hollywood than for royalty.

Unfortunately no, at least nothing was announced. I think we will see Stephanie during National Day celebrations in June although I'm not sure if she'll wear tiara or even if she'll take part in gala.

It's clear diamond but on some photos looks like yellow one.

The crystal earring are just horrible and the other one's she wore are not much better. It would have looked ok with just some simple diamond studs. She is starting to look like Princess Maxima of the Netherlands with all that fake jewelery.

She was wearing Swarovski, it's not cheap and fake jewelery. Although I hope that soon we will see Luxembourg RF's jewelry on her.
To Josefine - I've checked again; there is planned visit to Canada in May (Guillaumne is coming with few ministers, bu I'm not expecting that we will see his fiancee).

Swarovski is just cut crystal.
It's more expensive than plastic, but it isn't real gemstones either.
I'm really surprised Stephanie chose to wear it on such an important occasion.

Wow you just can't stop attacking people for having an opinion can you.
Yes, to me she looks like Princess Maxima who almost always wears fake, gaudy jewelry. She also wears the crown jewels nicely but not for everyday use. Crystals are crystals, they aren't appropriate IMO for a "noble" lady to wear on her engagement day.
