I never thought citrines & pearls could be such a good combo but these pieces are indeed stunning! Thank you Salma!

Maria Teresa was really lovely, and the citrine bandeau is simple but beautiful in my opinion

Yes, it might be an emerald, though I'm not 100% sure... It looks like HRH wore the emerald earrings at the event, yet the colour of the stone looks more bluish than greenish...

In the thread about the 2006 State Visit to the Netherlands I saw some better photos from the concert and I'm now sure that this is an emerald. However, I still can't remember seeing it before or after.

I believe the tiara is made from topaz which is a higher-quality gemstone than citrine.

I think we don't know for sure. They could be topazes or citrines, they are very similar.

Has Maria Teresa ever worn this tiara/necklace?

Do you know if it's still in the family collection?
I think it looks better as a necklace.

From what I can see, they're a nice size and color. They look squarish in shape. Lovely!

Dear Alyend Maria Teresa wore this diamond saphire piece (as a necklance) during last year Monaco wedding gala. That was first and last time I saw her wearing it.

Her wedding tiara:
The Royal Order of Sartorial Splendor: Tiara Thursday: The Congo Necklace Tiara
This is a stunning piece. I love the rows of diamonds; very beautiful. Love how versatile it is. It looks stunning both as a tiara and a necklace but I prefer it as a necklace. Not really a fan of this as a wedding tiara as I think it's not suitable.

The Sartorialist is right when she says that it looks best backed by a veil. I think that Maria Teresa and Marie-Astrid wore it very well as a wedding tiara. However, it looked awkward with Margaretha's hair style and seemed too skimpy on Josephine-Charlotte.

This is a gorgeous piece but I think I like is as a necklace better. It really shows the incredible diamonds that way.

Although I, too, prefer it as a necklace, IMO any tiara is a good wedding tiara.

Of the 3 I prefer the Belgian scroll tiara,I'm not a fan of the Emerald Tiara.

I certainly like the floral and Belgium scroll tiaras more than the emerald tiara. That reminds me of Queen Sonia of Norway's tiara; the one nicknamed the "Star Wars" tiara!
