Grand Duchess Joséphine-Charlotte & Luxembourg Jewels of the Past

:previous:The article explained that Charlotte's aunt Hilda, Grand Duchess of Baden may have left the Empire Tiara to Charlotte. If so, how did the Empire Tiara become part of the Baden Jewels?

Wow, these look almost similar to Queen Emma's sapphire bracelets, which have been made in 1880: https://i.pinimg.com/736x/07/a4/cc/07a4cc65787b75f253df91e683fa81d9.jpg

Was it made for Princess Joséphine-Charlotte in the 1950's or was it an existing bracelet from the same era as above, purchased by the Association de la Noblesse du Royaume de Belgique ?

It is an amazing bracelet but it echos more the last quarter of the 19th C than the years 1950, in terms of design.

Thankfully they were not among Grand Duchess Josephine Charlotte’s jewels that were put up for sale after her death.

After the cancelled auction the bracelet was only worn by Pss Margaretha, it seems. Perhaps she is the owner now.

A look at the items that were initially put up for auction in 2007 after the death of Grand Duchess Joséphine-Charlotte

Wow, some stunning pieces there. I wonder if the BRF got a hold on any of those jewels, since they so badly needed it...and Fabiola doesn't seem to have given her collection to Mathilde, but rather to her Foundation
