The first picture looks like whatever was being discussed was interesting and yes, to myself those look like identical brooches.

Is CPV wedding band similar to Sofia's?

No, Sofia's ring has smaller diamonds:

Those earrings match perfectly with the gown, imo. Do we know about the materials and the designer? It looks like differently cloured stones to me, dark at the top and lighter towards the bottom. Or maybe they are ranging from blue to yellow?

We don't know the designer. She has had them for a long time if I remember correctly. I shall look in my files and try to figure out when we first saw them.

Those earrings compliment the gown enough to believe they were made to do so. In the event I think the variation of colour is a result of the little dents or crystals, being smaller at the top have deeper reflections and as the earrings become larger the longer you go, so too do the reflections. (Does that make sense?)

I also loved the way Victoria styled her hair for this occasion. It was softly smooth and elegant, leaving her earrings to make a statement. That they complimented her hair while accentuating the colour and style of the gown was sheer serendipity. The whole effect is effortlessly elegant without being fussy.

This has to be one of the most stunning synergies Victoria has managed to pull off, the other being her wedding ensemble and jewellery.

I enlarged the picture and cropped out the earrings. The pic is not at all clear, but I still think that the colour range is achieve by differently coloured stone/crystals. To me they seem all to be of the same size.

But I fully agree that her appearance was perfect in every detail. If she hadn't worn the earrings before, I'd think they were only aquired to match this one gown. And not to forget Victoria's smile speaks of blissfull happyness and adds finishing touch to the whole ensemble. :flowers:

Here is a large photo of them from 2013.

:previous: They look great in the earlier shots and make me think that they are definitely dents that catch the light as they would look too OTT to use with a daywear ensemble. And they didn't, they looked great.

Regardless, I think serendipity came into play. The fact she already had them and then acquired this gorgeous gown and her brain clicked and ticked and her fingers passed over the "Real Deal" and picked up these beautiful earrings and, wearing a bun (as she is wont to do) held them up by her ears, watched them move and catch the light and went . . .Yesss! (followed by a little Happy Dance), and the only thing she had to add was her megawatt smile which was even bigger if that's possible. :flowers:

On September 16 CP Victoria wore some earrings and a long necklace with round green stones set in gold (or gold plated metal?). The style and colour nicely matched her outfit, imo.

Her necklace comes from Charlotte Bonde and I believe her earrings are either from them or from Misst. I have yet to figure it out. She has had them for a few years so finding them could be challenging!

I think you are are right about the ring being from Kreuger Jewellery. It looks like one from butterfly serious.

I'm not a fan of the gold earringes, they look a bit boring. Is that a heart motive? Victoria is wearing a lot of heart shaped jewels lately. I notice a golden heart necklace pendant a few days ago.

Bigger photo of the earrings. I don't think they are boring, I find them rather interesting.

Victoria wore today also the leather bracelet from Kreuger Jewellery, which she had for the first time on her birthday.

Victoria's earrings she has had for a few years. I believe they are from Chaumet.

For a long time, Victoria didn't wear her wedding and engagement rings. Unlike most other jewellery they tend to be worn all the time and the general consensus seemed to be either dermatitis or some sort of allergy was to blame for their absence.

I was wondering if that might be the case as the rings seem to be made of a different colour metal.

I've actually thought the same and even voiced my opinion about it here. That could perhaps explain why she usually stuck to the Cut Steele tiaras for a long time and often wears more modern costume jewellery (is that the right term?) like that new leather bracelet of hers.

I'm not convinced. It could all be a trick of the light, photos can be so deceptive. And the tiaras usually come with a thick velvet padding on their base, so that the metal wouldn't touch the skin anyways. Additionally, Victoria has lately been wearing a large variety of different jewel, including what looks like silver and gold bracelets and a number of different earrings.

Aren't there metal jewellery produced without that thing-they-put-in-metal-people-get-allergic-to-that-I-can't-think-of-the-name-off-now-but-like-my-aunt-that-couldn't-even-do-the-dishes-because-she-was-allergic-to-the-sink these days?

That must be the longest adjective clause in the English language !

Oh, so that's why I dislike doing the dishes so much? I too must be allergic to the sinc, what a gorgeous excuse! :)

I think that metal is nickel, but afaik, it is no longer allowed to be used for jewelry. At least not in the EU? I used to get itching ears from all the cool earrings which I wore as a teenager. But I haven't had problems with that for decades, because that jewelry is no longer on the market. (Or maybe my earrings are no longer cool enough?)

Well, imo the nickel allergy would be no explanation for not wearing wedding bands or engagement rings, as I'm certain that Daniel didn't buy them at a stall on the flee market. Afaik, nickel has never been uses in gold jewelry.

There are very rare cases of people being allergic to gold and silver. But if that were the case for CP Victoria, she shouldn't wear any of the historic jewels as well much of her contemporary jewelry.

A bit embarrassing when the word I'm looking for according to Google translate turns out to be the same in both English and Swedish - Nickel

I searched for it in the dictionary as well, only to find that it's the same in English and German. But it's not a word one often uses.
