The Queen Desiree diamond & ruby parure - once owned by the first Bernadotte Queen of Sweden, Queen Desideria. The tiara and its matching parure were ordered in Paris by Jean-Baptiste Bernadotte, her husband & King, to be worn to the 1805 Imperial Coronation of Napoleon I of France.

The sapphire, diamond & pearl brooch she wore to the Christening of HRH the Prince Christian.

That's true, I felt that the veil overwhelmed her. But now I can actually see this tiara, it doesn't look as small as I thought it did on her wedding day and it stands up very nicely. I think she can pull off anything though, big diamond tiara or small, jewels just look nice on her.

Why are the orders scattered over her gown like that? Is that how they are supposed to be placed? It looks funny.

I don't know about her new order, but the other two are correctly placed.

Perhaps she added the new one there for balance so she would have one on each shoulder.

Regardless she looks great, imo.:)

All orders have specifications on how they should be worn. Some sashes are worn from the left shoulder to the right hip, or the other way around. Some medals/orders are worn on the left or right shoulder. I believe that this bulgarian order is supposed to be worn on the right shoulder for women, as I don't believe Frederik wore his on the shoulder, bur I could be wrong:)

I'm suprised, I thought she would have worn the ruby parure because the color of her dress is red. But I like how she changed it up, she looks very good in these pictures and I just love those earrings.:) I hope Margarethe lends her a new tiara soon, I'd love to see her in all sorts of jewels.

It looks funny to me too. Im also not used to seeing her wear the family order. Its so small compared to the huge star dangling on her other shoulder.

Some of Crown Princess Mary's recent earrings:

From PPE:

From Polfolto:

From Royalportraits.nl:

She seems to be wearing drop earrings at her recent events. The green ones were very pretty. For this picture: http://www.theroyalforums.com/forums...8&d=1144150884 (From Polfolto), does anybody know what kind of jewels they are? They don't look like diamond drops to me; they seem to have a hint of color to them.

Princess Mary is wearing her wedding tiara and the aquamarine and pearl choker, aquamarine drop earrings for the 60th birthday gala for King Carl of Sweden.

Does anyone have a bigger pic of this so you can see the ring better? I photoshopped this pic (from hola) to show a comparison of a ring I wonder if it is similar to anyone but me?

I LOVE these earrings! I found a website (http://www.diamondtiaras.com/) that has replicas of these exact earrings for sale. They are no longer on thier webpage, but they now have Mary's wedding earrings, wedding tiara, ruby parure earrings...and other royal ladies jewelry. Check it out! But I must warn you they are VERY pricey. I guess they are made with real gold and the like.:)
