Oh how I wish, wish, wish, that Mary's doting other half would purchase it for her. She looked utterly divine wearing it! It would also carry on the tradition set by Queen Margrethe to have add a contemporary tiara to the vaults.

You and me both Marg And your argument about continuing the practice of adding a contemporary piece to the vaults is very valid IMO (and a beautiful contemporary piece at that!). The royal family needs to do some sort of updating of their tiara stock; with the deplorable giving away of the tiara for Alexandra, I hope they will try to build up the collection again.

I've always thought that the gold bracelet that Mary wears often with her Cartier Golden watch was also from Cartier house, it's very similar to their design, but apparentely it's from danish jewels designer Marianne Dulong , it costs 2655 euros.

Let me just say that I don't envy her for having it.lol
I mean,I don't think it's something extraordinary.But that doesn't mean it's ugly.
I guess it's a matter of personal taste.

If I am not mistaken, it's first time she wears them since her wedding. I thought at first She wore them with the cream Parada dress a month after her wedding for birthday of Prince Henrik, but I was mistaken http://img309.imageshack.us/img309/8458/drws66xn.jpg
Maybe somebody can help, I don't recall other time that she wore, those earrings are a classical and beautiful piece, which can be worn for years and years.

I have counted 5 other times she has worn them. This is good since I think they are one of her most beautiful pieces of jewelry. Love the brooch. 2 of the times were with the wedding tiara. 3 other were with evening gowns. I went back over old evening events. I can probably find out exactly if someone wants! Yes I love jewelry!!!

Are you talking about Princess Mary's wedding earrings? Her wedding earrings make an appearance at least once a year. Last time she wore it was for Prince Frederik's 40th bday surprise party at the Dannebrog.

Ayvee is right, they are worn quite a bit. I love that she keeps wearing them, a special reminder of her Day, and they are gorgeous!

These and the ones she wore in Australia on her last visit are my all time favourites. She doesn't wear them often enough for my liking. Ilalso love the brooch in the lastest photos as I said in the eveningwear thread. I often am astonished, and this is probably very middle class of me, at the cost of all these possessions the watch gosh and I imagine not a second thought was given by hubby when he purchased the gift. The rich are different.

Yes,Ayvee,we were talking about the wedding earrings.Once a year in major events is nice, imo. These are important earrings for her,she can't repeat them too often, like a T-shirt,after all.
BTW,on Prince Frederik's birthday Mary looked absolutely stunning!

I absolutely agree with you, MelinaB!
By the way, I read a few days ago that Princess Mary sparked the craze when she accepted one of the La Chance bracelets as a gift from the Danish jewellery designer Martina Baggar.
I think each of us would like to accept a such kind of the gift!)))

Here's the site: LaChance - Official online store - All Products
I'm not sure which kind of bracelet she received.
The bracelet featured in magazines or worn by celebrities: http://www.la-chance.info/article/presslist/9
One of Princess Mary's friend, Ellen Hillingso is pictured. Countess Alexandra is also pictured wearing one.

Well, that LaChance bracelet doesn't look like something extraordinary to me.
But I wonder why Mary went crazy about it,perhaps hers is not like this particular type, but something more elegant.
I guess it's all wait & see now.
