What better place could there be for this National Treasure than the Museum envisioned, and named after the designer of the Tiara, and the recipient of it ?

Albert's TIRELESS work on the Great Exhibition of 1851 made it so great a success that money poured it, enough to build the V & A, the Science Museum, the Natural History Museum, to fill them with treasures and to build much besides.

Britain and London is FOREVER in his debt..

What do you think about these gold jewels of Queen Alexandra? Could they still be in existance?
I've never seen a picture of them on a royal lady. They could be at least exhibited if not worn.

The Daily Diadem: Queen Victoria's Small Opal Tiara | The Court Jeweller

This tiara looks absolutely exquisite, even if it may not have been an actual tiara.

I wonder if it actually existed as a tiara...

What notable Fife jewels have been sold? I guess you can say that the Fife Tiara was sold, but it was sold to the British government and is being exhibited, which is preferable (IMO) to getting, every decade or two, a grainy photo of the tiara on some unknown bride.

Here is an interesting quote from the article:
Quote:
Queen Victoria’s diamond and emerald parure and the kokosnhik tiara are, however, on long-term loan from the estate of the 3rd Duke of Fife.

So they only sold the Fife tiara, but kept the emerald tiara and the fringe.

'The Nation' owns it now [for ever], since it was accepted 'in lieu of Tax'.

Ah...ok then as I understand it that means we aren't going to be seeing any of the BRF wearing it (major bummer)...right? It will be in a museum etc?
