From The List:
Princess Birgitta's Diamond Bracelet Tiara (search her on Corbis):
Birgitta, Desiree, Christina

The meander bracelet tiara has also been worn by Princess Sybilla:

I think that the lady on the right is Princess Christina, or is it Desiree? Sorry, but I'm not good at telling the young Haga Princesses apart.

If this is Christina, can someone please post a pic of Princess Desiree with it?

Imo it is Desiree.

The two sisters could be twins. See this picture: Princess Désirée with a diadem from her husband's family (Silverschiöld) and Princess Christina with the Four Buttons diadem.

I agree I was wrong before when I said it was Desirée instead of Christina but I'm absolutely positive that it's Margaretha wearing the buttons here.

She looks like Margaretha, but I have often seen that picture identified as Desiree and Christina.

I still say that this is princess Désirée, not princess Christina. According to Sjöberg Bildbyrå, this photo has been taken in 1961. Yes, the photo text says that it is Christina, but to me it isn't.

Princess Christina was then quite young, she had her 18th birthday on 3rd August 1961.
Princess Christina was a bridesmaid at princess Birgitta's wedding in May 1961. She was at the station welcoming crown princess Margrethe.

This is princess Margaretha with four button tiara.

Especially on the last pic from 1964, where the angle is the same as on the one from 1961, the faces really look alike. And unfortunately it is not unusual that people are misidentified on agency pics.

I wonder if any of the jewels of belonging to the late Princess Margaretha of Sweden and Denmark are still with the Swedish RF,I recall seeing the Princess wearing a diamond star tiara at the Nobel ceremonies.

I don't think so. Her sons were Princes of Denmark and later Counts of Rosenborg. The star tiara eg. was often worn by the late Countess Ruth of Rosenborg and her daughter-in-law Countess Jutta. I don't see how her jewels would have gone back to the Bernadottes.

It had also no connection to the main Bernadotte line. i think it was a Wedding gift to Princess Ingeborg.

Thanks I knew I had seen it worn of recent memory,I guess the only way it could end up in the Bernadottes jewel chest is if it was put up for sale.

A lot of Countess Ruth jewels were sold. This has been discussed before.

I think you found it! Though it is difficult to be sure with the blurred quality of the old pictures. I made a comparison of enlarged snippets of some pics, and now I'm no longer sure that it is actually a real meander pattern. The geometric pattern reminds me of art deco style. Any opinions?

(Pictures cropped to less than 20% of the orignal version.)

@ Tilia C. - I agree that it's not a meander design, rather it's an Art Deco/geometric design. Thank you for the pics for comparison :)

Royal expert Roger Lundgren said at the broadcast of Carl Philip's wedding, that the frames of the king's miniature portraits are recycled. The experts have said that queen Silvia's is the most gorgeous of them.

I thought Sofia would get Lilian's, but Sofia's looks totally new, she has a really big bow at the frame, similar to which queen Silvia has - and 18 brilliants like at queen's Silvia's frame. The difference is at the ribbon.

If you look at photos of Q Victoria and Q Louise at different times they seem to have different frames.

I didn't mean that queens Victoria and Louise have same frames, I didn't say so. I just posted the photos I found which were big enough. Or do you mean that queens Victoria and Louise have had many different frames during the times they were queens?

It is also interesting that in 2008 Nobels Madeleine had the frame Victoria has now

It seems that from the Nobels in 2006 until the end of 2008 Madeleine had the frame Victoria has now and Victoria had that one Madeleine has now. On her 18th birthday and in 1995-2006 Victoria had the frame she has now.

In the pics above it looks like Silvia and Louise has the same frame doesn't it?!

Concerning different frames for Victoria and Louise can that depend on when they were crown princesses and queens?
Edit: Looking on different pictures I see on Google I notice how Louise has different frames at different times both as Crown princess and as Queen

That is a really interesting observation LadyFinn! Actually I think I have heard or read somewhere that Princess Madeleine used Princess Sibylla's old frame. But I can't recall where I heard it from.

Princess Lilian's frame looks very similar to Queen Victoria's. Both have 12 very large diamonds. The difference is that Queen Victora's frame is topped with either a large diamond, or a small crown. Could Lilian's be an altered version of Queen Victoria's?
