An absolutely stunning and wonderful tiara. One of my all time favorites. The design is very regal.

Hi! I am new here and I love your list!! Very interesting to see who has worn what. :) I love the fact that these ladies do keep us guessing with the jewels they wear. And they also throw in some interesting combinations.

I did notice that Princess Sofia is not listed as having worn the 6 button tiara. Which I believe she did at King Harold's birthday celebration. I know she had it on when they were on the balcony and I believe she still had it on for the banquet. Just thought I would say something. Lots of people may not remember it since there was something else a little distracting on the balcony with them that day. LOL!!! I have not even mastered the photo thing on here yet or displaying a link but maybe someone can to prove it. If so, thanks!!

I have been on this forum for ages but just never registered. So now at least I won't be a guest anymore. I will have to learn the ropes. Love all the discussions on here!!!

Did King Charles XIII and Queen Hedwig Elizabeth Charlotte give a specific tiara to Desiree Bernadotte when she became the Crown Princess of Sweden?

This is a great necklace. I so do wish they remove 2 elements from the necklace to create a pair of matching earrings.

By the looks of it that would make the necklace very tight around the neck.

This photo shows that the length of necklace itself can be played around with, as it looks to have been shortened and thus the elements removed can be used as earrings without amending the current length of the necklace.
https://i.pinimg.com/474x/d0/19/e9/d...yal-crowns.jpg

There are a number of amendments they could do to it, but perhaps since its so old its very fragile, or perhaps it's soooo historic they don't feel its right to amend it.
But
If they dismantled the entire thing into pieces, they could use one of the large round segments as a pendant suspended from a diamond or pearl necklace, and the other one can be used as a bracelet with 4 rows of diamonds or pearls attached to each side, the 2 remaining chains form the former belt/necklace can be used to create a bandeau or fringe style tiara, or else they could build a frame where they place one of the chains on the bottom, and the other one meandering on top of it, with the little square brooch in the middle of them, kind of like Princess Lilian's laurel leaf tiara, the large brooch can remain the same, and the bits removed from the original belt to give it its current length can be used as earrings or hair pins, and voila, an entire parure born.
