Sean, lets just say i've had these conversations at Uni and I guess we all have and the next stage is name calling and it all gets ugly.

I don't know much about the Greek Royal Family I was told to read the other threads and yes your Queen is pretty! She looks very maternal and loving.

Hello Bubette.
I am curious to know why you call King Konstantin for a womanizer ?
If he has been unfaithfull to Queen AnneMaria well then let them talk about it and then let them finish the subjekt.

Isn't his womanizing the reason A-M took her children to Denmark for a while to live? I read somewhere that her family convinced her to go back.

Maby the reason that Queen AnneMaria was living her in Denmark was that she had been missing her parrents, sisters and rest of her familiy.
I donīt think that king Konstantin has been unfaithfull to the queen and ther children, but if he has well that is ther one buisnes and NOT our.
Wher did you read that the reason for her leaving with her children was that he was unfaithful to her?
I think that the reason for her leaving for Denmark with her children was that she had had a miscarriage and that hurts to haf one of thoes kindes.
In the futur i hope that they are abel to be living in Greece maby not as King and Queen but like peapol like us.

Constantine has not been faithful to Anne-Marie throughout his marriage. Perhaps now that he is older he has calmed down. He may have been faithful for many years at this point. But, it was really fairly well-known that Constantine had affairs and his wife was quite aware of it. He had one in Italy that was very well-documented at the time. Anne-Marie did go to Denmark at one point with the children and lived with her mother. Perhaps, she missed her family. I would think so after all that she went through at such a young age at that time, however, I tend to believe that she did in essence leave Constantine, just not officially. It simply appeared as though she was in Denmark having an extended visit with her family.

My theory is that Anne-Marie didn't marry a crownless womanizer. When they married he was a reigning monarch and I don't think that his affairs began until after he was deposed. The women were most likely a desperate attempt at making himself feel powerful, superior, and maybe even interesting and wanted. It's hard for a man or anyone to have to deal with losing an entire country and his entire reason for being. He simply dealt with it in one of the worst ways possible, IMO. However, this is my personal theory on how the affairs came to be.

However, it really is not gossip. Constantine did have affairs. Personally, I think that it is in the past and that his womanizing most likely stopped a long time ago. Regardless, the two are still together and really appear to be happy at this point in their lives.

Actually, it is known/rumoured that he had an affair with a rather well known Greek actress while he was both married and still King.

THE TWO PRIOR posts are Black propaganda of the darkest kind!I have heard these stories over the years, but it was a general effort just to beat the unbeatable King and to remove him from power, and as soon as they succeded it,then they wanted to minimise His value to His people by spreading this Gaebelic trush through media to the Greek People!!It is a shame to those who recreate all these forgotten-by-all lies!!! Over and Out!!!

Laskaris - I'll tell you something my mother always told me. Men will be men. To assume that the King never ever had an affair is to be believe in Cinderella and Alice in Wonderland. Lets also remember that women also have affairs. Every mature person knows these things happen Royalty or not at the end of the day what matters is, its kept behind closed doors and the 2 or 3 people involved resolve their issues behind close doors and not put it about the place in public. Another phrase from my mother never wash your dirty linen in public. I could not care less if the King has a harem but for goodness sake I don't want to hear about it. Or am I being old fashion here. Its none of our business - obviouslyif it affects judgements and succession then yes its an issue to be debated publicly. But come on give me a break list all past and future kings/crown princes or princesses that have not had affairs!!!!!!!!!!!!

Personally, I like hearing real stories about the royals. It makes them seem more human, and goodness knows some people look at them as if they're almost Gods.... If you don't like hearing this stuff, you don't have to read it. :)

I don't understand where the notion of some of the things other members have mentioned as being "propaganda" comes from. I, too, have read a lot of these stories, and certainly not all of them from "fluffy, tabloid-esque" organizastions, some in fact, from very trusted news sources about King Constantine's affairs.

King Constantine, as a Crown Prince and a King, exhiled or not, may very well be a good person overall, but that is not to say that he does not have his faults or is without any flaws. And certainly having affairs would count as a flaw. No person is absolutely perfect and faultless.

As far as, my English allow me to understand,of the recent posts that I ve red, that the posters are victims of a propaganda {mostly 70's and 80's}that wants our King to be as corrupted,so,He(!!!)doesn't worth to be a King..... anymore!Thats where this propaganda was aiming to.....I contribute this to this thread,so pelievers of coloquial media Don't write what you don't pelieve it's true, unless you want to damage royalty!!!Adios todos!!!
