Since the new server was updated, I get almost always "server is busy". Very often I am not able to read anything.

If you look in the Announcement section, there is already a thread for the new server. And the "server is busy" sign has been a problem for everybody including the moderators as stated by Alexandria and Elspeth in said thread. :)

Thank you. I looked very fast at the Announcement section b/c of the problem.

The new server isn't installed yet. We're still limping along on the old one, which is why you're getting all the "can't connect" messages.

List of known bugs:

  • Unable to start new threads

I'm finding that when I get a pop-up notification of a private message and I click the appropriate boxes to open the message in the same window as the forum, it takes me back to the forum main page rather than to the message.

Apparently, I'm not being able to start new threads. I'm not sure if it's just me, though.

I'm not able to start threads either; I've tried several times today in the Jordanian forum. (Although it seems selective as I was able to start this one earlier.)

I am also no longer getting e-mails informing me of new private messages received.

I've been finding that clicking on the numbers in the "Replies" column just takes me to a new window showing the forum home page rather than giving me the statistics that it used to show.

Did you lift the restriction on the number of posters who can access the forum at once, now we have the new server in place?

That's already been mentioned earlier in the thread so Andy knows about it. I'm sure it's one of the first things he'll be working on.

Check the first post of this thread for a list of the outstanding issues.

For the last four hours I wasn't able to get onto the forum. I was getting the page you usually get if you type in the wrong address (but it wasn't the wrong address) and all other website were working for me today

ETA: I see a big gap in posting this morning so I assume that the forum was down for everyone ?

Yes, it was down for everyone. Alexandria e-mailed Andy, he came along and gave it a kick in the wossnames, and apparently that did the trick.
