You're posts may have been deleted in accordance with the new attachment rules. Have you posted any pics in the last few months in the wrong way? Or maybe it just has to do with the new software.

There is a major attachment/post clean-up going on. A lot of posts will be gone - and post counts will go down.

The only way to make sure your post count isn't going to go down, is to ensure that your posts are in accordance with the rules.

Default Post Counts

Since the Members' Corner and its subforum Celebrity Chit Chat don't deal with royalty-related issues and since there are a lot of threads devoted to playing games and chatting about personal issues, we've decided to turn off the post counter in those forums. It doesn't seem fair that some people have post counts in the thousands when their contributions to royal-related threads are far less common.

This means that from now on, your posts in Members' Corner and Celebrity Chit Chat won't increase your post counts. If you want to have your post counts increase and contribute to the next level of posting title such as Royal Highness or Majesty, you'll have to post in the royal-related forums.

For the moment this change will only apply to future posts. People's current post counts will stay the same; their past posts in the Members' Corner threads are still part of their total. We reserve the right to revisit that decision in the future if we decide that post counts should reflect only topic-related posts in the past as well as the future.

How do you mean they aren't adding up? Is your post count static, or what's going on?

We've turned the post counter off in Members' Corner, so your posts there won't count toward your total, but posts elsewhere in the forum should increase your post count.

I've moved our posts to their own thread in case anyone else is having the same problem; it'll be easier for them to see the thread if it's got its own title.

For the moment your post count is 423 and the above post is the latest one you've made. Let's see how your post count changes over the next little while.

Question Where have my posts gone?

I have posted 114 messages here and right next to my name it says that my posts are 104 which isn't true if you check my profile at ''find all posts by Beatrice'' you'll see that they are 113.I know that the two of them were deleted at the ''German-Austrian Royalty'' forum but what about the others? Each time i post i see the same number of messages i had before my posting which is quite irritating. Can someone explain to me what is happening
Thanks,
Beatrice-Electra

Posts made in Members' Corner and Celebrity Chit-Chat don't add up to your post count, that's probably why the count in your profile and the count that appears next to your name are different.

Default Where are my posts gone????

Yesterday evening I still had exactly 1600 posts and now there are only 1575 left, how could that have happened?
I do always credit my sources as I post a lot of pics and I'm not the one wrighting senseless or rude comments that need to be deleted. It happened several times in the last weeks that I lost 2-3 posts, but 25 during a single night??! Can anyone please explain that to me?

Mandy has been working on a major attachment clean up as per this announcement. This clean up is being applied to older posts, which may explain the lowered post count.

The moderators of the Monaco forum are also performing a house cleaning of their own. Please contact one of them if you wish to discuss this further.

Your posts should be posting. That one post was deleted because the moderator concerned didn't think it was relevant to the thread, but the rest of your recent posts should be counting toward your total.

At present your post count is 72. Let's see if it changes after you've made some more posts.

I have often found that if a writer is not gushingly pro the moderator's view the post is removed. Censored. Too bad. Some of what I have read that was removed was bright, insightful and a whole lot better than " her hat looked lovely". Some of the dicusiions that were cut short, were proffered by people who tried to give their views and often they were right on the mark.

You'll find that when people express their opinions in ways that don't break our rules about posting off topic, insulting people, using profane or vulgar language, or avoiding politics and religion, those opinions are perfectly welcome. The moderation team is composed of people with very different opinions about the various royals, so the notion that there's some enforced party line is incorrect.

Do you mean the "Commoner" title underneath your name? For other members it will be different, as explained in this thread, depending on the number of posts you've made.

This title changes as you make more posts.

If you want to change your member name, then please fill out a ticket at the Support Desk. But please note that the Administrators only change names in the most extreme of circumstances, not "just because."

Can anyone please explain to me why every time I make a post, my post count decreases?????????????????????? Most have been royalty related and yes, I have had a few deleted when the posts got off track...but this is really puzzling. Last night I had 402 posts...this weekend I had 408....tonight was 398 but just increased to 399....what is going on??????????

Please note that we regularly do clean ups around the forum that affect post counts. You've lost less than 10 posts, which is not a lot. Had you lost 100 posts, then please take it up with an Administrator.

Please also note that posts in the Members' Corner do not count towards your post count.

Please also note that the emphasis here is on quality of posts and not the number of posts.
