Sydney New Years Eve fireworks
As 2013 is almost upon us,
Happy New Year!
 . .
It has been another busy year, beginning with Margrethe II's 40th anniversary as Queen of Denmark,
Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee celebrations rising to a crescendo in June,
closely followed by the very-well-royal-attended London Olympics,
and capped off by the charming and much-anticipated wedding of the Hereditary Grand Duke of Luxembourg.
Prince Guillaume is the last of the European direct royal heirs and heiresses to marry
so we won't be witness to any grand scale royal weddings for quite some time.
However, 2013 is sure to provide a significant royal birth or two that will spark intense interest
and ensure the dynasty or dynasties direct-line continuation into the next generation.
There's also a good chance that Prince Harry will entertain/appal us [depending on one's outlook, take your pick]
at some stage over the course of the year.
On that note, many thanks to all who participated in the Forums during 2012 - without members discussing, arguing,
debating, sharing and contributing in whatever fashion, the Forums would be a very dull place indeed.

Huh? What do you mean? The Diamond Jubilee was this year; and here in England and around the commonwealth there were lots of celebrations!
...Or are you talking about Queen Margarethe's Jubilee in Denmark? (That's a Ruby Jubilee, which is 40 years  ).

I realise that. I just meant because the coronation was the following year, June 1953, that there might be some sort of observance.
