Agree with you there, I was thinking 'wow' and 'fantastic' when I was watching them on TV tonight- me and my family are thinking of going next year. The only downside is that the trains will be packed and the cabs fully booked!

And I'll be staying up till 3am my time to watch New Year's From The Needle from your area of the World AnnEliza. Ever since I discovered that by accident a few years ago, it's become a tradition. Sometimes Mom watches it w/me, but usually it's only me. Last year was really amazing as we'd just upgraded to an HD receiver and very much looking forward to tonight's show. :)

I love the fireworks from the Needle! Though I am a wimp and just watch on TV every year rather than braving the crowds, parking, and 35 mile drive to Seattle (each way)
