i asked same question. normally associations declare the sources of their funds. maybe her association gets funds from rich ppl and ppl with high wages. maybe she contributes as well from her salary. one of the 2 last projects is financed by ministry and Agir association.

money exist but it’s not distributed equally. 6 million (20%) moroccans live below the poverty line, with less than 10 dirhams (one dollar) per day. and three quarters earn less than the guaranteed minimum wage of 1600 dirhams ($160) per month. the minimum wage isn’t sufficient to allow workers to have adequate standard of living for themselves and their families.
solution is reduce large inequality btw rich and poor in the society.
i heard moroccan royal family help associations. the king is modern, he lives in normal house, he doesn’t use his palaces, what if salma and M6 donate some of their palaces and private houses in different areas of morocco, to be used as hospitals. and when salma bring more funds, will use it to buy equipments, for maintenance, etc

i understand the concern about finances. at least she's not spending tons of money on shopping sprees abroad.

i think the bone marrow centre is excellent because i have friends who have had to have bone marrow transplants and i can tell how much it has changed their lives. i'm in total awe of the organizations/causes Salma decided to take on because they are dear to my heart.

with that being said, i also think converting unused palaces into hospitals is a good idea but the cultural heritage issue comes to surface. either way, i hope Salma and Morocco ultimately continue to help cancer patients in their time of need.

I find the front page of "point de vue" silly, the asset of the king is not lalla salma but the intelligent and hard working people of morocco

i agree loubna2. and i ask what is the value of the moroccan kingdom and monarchy itself without moroccan ppl? they called salma symbol of kingdom modernity.
i call it modernity of the palace not the kingdom, bcz women in morocco are out since decades and there are wide terms of modernity used to describe politics, economy, and .. and .. not bcz wife of the king is seen in public modernization brings series of benefits to ppl. what salma brings? the magazine says something?

I myself am morocan!! I have grown up there, and live there.I don't think that kids who work is something specific to morocco, it exists in almost all the countries of the world, at least underdevelopped ones. For knowing morocan workers i can tell that in general it is not a people known for working hard. Morocans are lazy. IN GENERAL! I don't talk about exceptions.

This thread is about the current activities of Princess Lalla Salma, it is not a place to discuss whether Moroccans are lazy or not. This line of discussion must end NOW. The next message on that subject, whether a reply, will be DELETED.

"POINT DE VUE", is a magazine of fun, then, what it writes isn’t credible, it is good only for photos
To read intelligent comments, there are serious newspapers and magazines (le figaro, le monde, le monde diplomatique, courrier international,…etc)

It's great to see Lalla Salma out and about supporting public and social organizations. Seems like she's finally ready to take a higher profile role within Morroco. To date, she has been active mainly in international events and with foreign sovereigns and diplomats.
