I agree with rosa and abir, lalla salma has sometimes inadequate reaction, but maybe that it is due to the shyness

King MohammedVI of Morocco,to break silence with the past for a real democraty!
Fourth session of hearings into past human rights violations opens in Errachidia
ERRACHIDIA, Feb.03 - The fourth session of public hearings into human rights violations committed in Morocco between 1956 and 1999 opened Wednesday in the southern-central town of Errachidia.

The 4th session of the hearings, organized by the Justice and Reconciliation Commission (IER), brought together 400 people, mostly victims of human rights violations in the region.

Representatives of local associations, political parties, unions and local authorities attended the session, as well as Moroccan and foreign journalists.

Unlike previous sessions, this latest was not broadcast live on TV and the radio because of its length, as it exceeded four hours.

Most of the ten testimonies during the session were related to the events that occurred in the region in March 1973. During these events, dubbed “armed opposition”, activities of the secret Ittihadi movements and those of elements of the “Tanzim” organization, that sneaked into Morocco from Algeria and Libya, spread into small groups in Khenifra, Guelmim, Tinghir and Figuig.

All members of these movements were arrested by September 1973, and brought before justice in military courts which condemned 19 people to capital punishment, 15 to life sentences, while others were sentenced to prison terms up to 30 years.

During operations conducted by the Royal Army Forces to crack down on these groups, serious human rights breaches have taken place in the region.

Victims of human rights breaches that occurred in the region gave at the session a moving testimony on the suffering they went through in detention centers.

IER will hold the next session of public hearings in Khenifra.

It's ridiculous to make such as comment!who are you to say that was inadequate? Were you with them in that moment?

If you were basing to that picture which rosa sent, you can't put the picture out of his context and you can't put that negative comment only if you see negatively PL.Salma's acts whatever she did!

If you look to the picture, you can see that KM6 is talking and you can't know what he's talking which made PLS laughing!

at least, laughing is not a crime as i know???!!

I don't see anything wrong with this picture!KM6 is talking and having a smile,if you know what he was talikng about you'll know why salma is lauging!

Her's an other picture from the same event, salma had a serious attitude,i know here too you will say something negative, something like she had not adequate attitude!!!

If you made those comments you will made them with negative view whatever Salma she did!

I remember during the spanish state visit when salma was standing seriously near her sister in law PL.meryem, the same negative view was made by the same posters bacause they look whatever salma does negatively, and said that she's not in good terms with her sister in law,but the real reason was only that the sun was hard and they wre listing to national hymnes!!

God thanks that we got other pictures where princess lalla salma and princess lalla meryem were sharing a moment of laughs!!!

Who said laughing is a crime?
Laughing is human … as the French philosopher Henri Bergson said: "Man is the only animal who laughs” … but control makes difference between humans. Also we all know that the older a person becomes, the more she learns, and her sense of humor becomes more mature and controlled.

I believe, between friends, we can laugh even on stupid jokes or whatever.
But in official ceremonies, certain amount of intelligence & mature has to be involved in people’ reactions.

Why it should be a “negative view”?
TRF members share opinions and comments … there are some who say lovely pictures, and some say the opposite. Usually people comment on pictures and remark face’ expressions, attitudes and so on.
Of course, we could be mistaken about what we saw in a single picture, or things could have changed after the picture was taken, but within the limits of the camera’ flash that’s how it was.

In other side, looking to many pictures in different situations … let people prove such case/behavior and make some opinion about a person’ posture, excitement/calmness and the way she carries herself in different events. Sometimes, she did false poses and many TRF members agreed she has to learn more … (conclusions based on seeing pictures) … is this also a negative view?!

About salma & meryem, I guess some TRF comments were not based only on the picture. In earlier discussions, some members explained salma’ low profile by possible tensions between her and her sisters’ in law … as this happened often between any woman and her sisters’ in law or between any two persons who share/want to own more responsibilities and pick most of the spotlight.

Yes, thanks God we see salma and Meryem laughing in other pictures.
Do both pictures say the whole & real relation between the two ladies?
No one knows, and honestly I don’t want to know since discussing private lives of others doesn’t interest me.

Some more pics of Salma with Queen Sofia, when the Spanish Royals visited Morocco last month.

I think she looks so cute in these pics. Also, it seems, she gets along very well with the Spanish Queen.

HM King Mohammed VI chairs signing of conventions for southern region development

Zagora, Feb.04 – HM King Mohammed VI chaired this Friday in the southern Moroccan town of Zagora the signing of several conventions, worth around 2.1 billion DH (210 million Euros) meant to enforce the development strategy of the southern Souss-Massa-Draa region.

The conventions are a result of partnership between several partners, mainly the government, elected authorities, professional organizations, the Hassan II Fund for economic and social development and the Mohammed V solidarity foundation.

The conventions provide for the creation of two rural women cooperatives for the improvement and protection of the local race of goats and the restructuring of a dates conditioning plant in the region. The plant will be re-launched thanks to 3 million DH (300,000 Euro) injected by the Mohammed V solidarity foundation.

Under a third convention, a public health clinic, to cost 29 million DH (2.9 million Euro), will be build in the city of Zagora with the aim of bringing the province hosting capacity from 92 to 137 beds, improve the quality of health services and modernize equipment.

The three other conventions deal with the building of an airport platform in the city of Zagora to boost tourism capacities of the region, the creation of an investment fund was to promote agriculture products processing and marketing and the building of road infrastructures.

Other projects to be carried out in the region include the development of two tourism compounds in Ouarzazate and Zagora, the development of an irrigated area, upgrading of the regional road network and the creation of a regional investment fund, in addition to the opening of a credit line to finance an investment program and the improvement of the air-link between Agadir and Ouarzazate.

The two remaining conventions deal with the creation of a fund to support tourism-related micro-industry and the conduct of a study for the development of the cinema industry in Ouarzazate.

The projects are carried out in accordance with instructions by HM King Mohammed VI last January 15 to promote tourism in the southern region of Ouarzazate-Zagora and to support the region’s development.

The sovereign had chaired a meeting with prime minister Driss Jettou, royal advisor, Abdelaziz Meziane Belfkih, and other government members and local officials, and stressed that the Ouarzazate and Zagora regions should become autonomous tourism destinations, building on their own product specificity and quality. This specific product is likely to develop thanks to an environment-friendly approach that preserves its oases, valleys, ksours (local villages), Kasbahs (forts) and nature.

The monarch also gave his instructions to support the region’s development by endeavoring to develop and preserve water resources, speed up the carrying out of social projects, improve road and air transport infrastructures, upgrade town planning and set forth various mechanisms to encourage private investments.

He had also called for stimulating initiatives and partnerships between private and public stakeholders in order to consolidate the region’s development dynamic as part of an integrated vision and pertinent programs with a direct impact on the population.
