Abaza family

The family is noted for producing the largest number of noble style holders in Egypt, such as Pashas, Beks/Beys, Hanims, Saheb or Sahebet Ezza, Mqama , Saada, Maaly and Oussma, intellectuals, politicians, business people and men/women of letters. It is considered the largest extended family in Egypt. In addition several living Abazas hold the title 'His or Her Excellency', for example serving ministers in government or serving diplomats.

Poor Nazli. The Queen of the Nile having to work as a California cleaning lady in her old age. The ignominy. For thos who don't know, her daughter (with whom she was exiled by Farouk) was murdered by her Coptic husband (the reason for the exile), Rhiad Ghali in the late 1970s.

Why did they King wanted to murder his daughter? Why this daughter?[/QUOTE]

Hi,
First of all she was not the king's daughter, she was his sister. The second thing is that the king himself was dead long time before the crime. He died in the year 1965 in Rome. So how a dead man could ever kill someone even if her were a king?

The King's daughters lived in Geneva, Swiss; never in the USA, where Riad ghali killed the princess.

Appeal of Riad Ghali (1919–1987) against a proposed assessment of additional personal income tax for the year 1957 by the California Franchise Tax Board. Riad Ghali was the husband of ex-Princess Fathia of Egypt, youngest daughter of King Fouad I and Queen Nazli. The document contains valuable information about Riad Ghali's life in exile in the United States with his wife Fathia and mother-in-law Nazli.

Abbas I of Egypt

Abbas I (July 1, 1813 – July 16, 1854), (Arabic: عباس الأول ‎), Wāli of Egypt and Sudan, was a son of Tusun Pasha and grandson of Muhammad Ali, founder of the reigning dynasty of Egypt and Sudan at the time. The Chambers Biographical Dictionary says of him: "igoted and sensual, he did much to undo the progress made under Muhammad Ali."[1]

Palace of Abbas Hilmi I. Pasha:

The palace was built on a mountain called at the time Jebel Tinya this mountain is located in The town of St. Katherine in Sinai peninsula in Egypt at an elevation of about 1600 meters from sea level, at the foot of the Sinai High Mountains, but later named after him and today called Jebel Abbas Basha. The palace has never been finished as he died before it was completed, but the massive 2 meter-thick walls made of granite blocks and granite-sand bricks still stand firmly.
