Thanks for posting this, Cory - very interesting and Leka has a very regal sounding voice. The events for Leka's visit to Romania were beautifully done.

Christmas Concert
The Albanian Royal Family invited Rona Nishliu to perform a Christmas concert at the royal residence.
On the occasion of the end of the year celebrations, Prince Leka and Miss Elia Zaharia organized a special Christmas Concert. They invited to perform the talented Rona Nishliu and pianist Gent Rushi.

On the occasion of the 77 wedding anniversary of King Zog and Queen Geraldine, Miss Elia Zaharia and the British Ambassadors wife, Mrs Alice Cannon, organized a special cocktail at the Albanian Royal Court. The theme of the event was inspired by: The hats of the 1930-s, and realized by the very talented hat designer Njomeza Luci, who created a collection called "The White Rose".
In honor of the ladies of the 1930-s period a photo exposition was shown to guest.

It is strange that Elia Zaharia is taking part in all those official activities, but yet they don't set a date for their wedding. How long have they been engaged? It seems like ages to me.

They are engaged since 2010.

In this albanian article from last September, which I posted earlier, it is told that they are getting married in September 2015. The article tells that Leka said at an interview that they are getting married in September and are planning to have a wedding with royal guests.

Both ladies had tiaras with a goat motive. If they had turned up at auction they would probably have been recognized. But they might have been sold privately. I don't know much about their financial situation. It is possible that Leka has managed to hold on to at least one of the tiaras. At least I hope so.

Elia has given a long interview to albanian magazine Class. It says that Leka said at a telecast that September is the best month for weddings and it was interpreted that he meant his own wedding.
Now at the interview (Google translated) Elia says that they haven't decided a day yet. She also says that the invitations should go abroad six months before the wedding and everything should be almost ready then, so I guess she means that there will not be any wedding this year.

:previous: I always think the same. Leka and Elia seem to have a stable, lasting relationship, so I wonder why they decided on such a long engagement.
