Queen Silvia met children and youngsters at a library in Jakarta. They were full of dreams and thoughts for the future.
- I want to be a doctor to cure my parents, both of whom are sick, said Waydo to the queen.
A girl named Yuni told her she wanted to become a teacher and then start building schools in the Indonesian countryside, where education in young ages is very poor.
Queen Silvia was impressed that the children gathered to tell her their dreams.
- The important thing is that you have dreams and I'm impressed by how far you dare to dream. I get very happy, said the queen.
Afterwards, Queen Silvia told how taken she was about the meeting with the children.
- The library in Manggarai is very small. But there was nothing small in the dreams that the children I met today had.
The meeting with the young people worked as a thinker for Silvia, she told a speech at a seminar on violence against children immediately after visiting the library.
- It was very inspiring and is a memory I will carry with me for a very long time. But it also reminded me of the challenges many children face today.

King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia's State Visit to Indonesia - Zimbio

Expressen's Elias Giertz interviewed the king and queen in Indonesia. King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia were received as they were rock stars.
They started their last day with a train trip to Bandung. When they arrived at a cortege from the train station there were thousands of inhabitants welcoming our royal couple, and on large advertisers photos on Carl Gustaf and Silvia.
- It was such a spontaneous warmth! That was what was so beautiful to see. Not only were children sent out because they would not have to go to school. It felt genuine, warm and welcoming, says Queen Silvia, smiling.
They were guided around Bandung by Mayor Ridwan Kamil and his wife Atalia Praratya.
- We had a nice lunch. But we don't just eat lunch, you learn a lot during lunch! They played Abba's "Dancing queen" during the lunch, that was very nice, says Silvia.
The king is very pleased with the state visit when he sums it up.
- It has been very interesting. We have visited many institutions and had the opportunity to meet very good people. We have received a good reception.
The purpose of the state visit has been to deepen trade relations between Sweden and Indonesia.
- The Swedish industry has been here for a very long time. Ericsson has been here for over 100 years. Now it is about expanding Swedish knowledge in Indonesia and exchanging experiences between our countries.
During the state visit, the royal couple had a lot of program points with seminars, lunches and tours.
The Crown Princess has said that she usually talks to Princess Estelle about her travels. Has Estelle become so old that the king and the queen can tell her about your trip on a state visit?
- We have also done that with our children. To tell what you have experienced so that a small child can understand is important. It is always important to include the children.
An issue during the state visit has been the treatment of HBTQ people in the Aceh province of northern Indonesia. Aceh is autonomous and applies sharia law, and on Tuesday two men in their 20s were convicted of having sex with each other. The king says:
- We know that unfortunately has been happening. And when there is an opportunity, you will take up these questions, of course, but it usually happens face to face.
Representatives of the Swedish government raised the issue at ministerial level during the visit and met with representatives of HBTQ organizations in Jakarta.
During the state visit, Queen Silvia has also discussed children's rights, including through a roundabout of violence against children. The question worries Silvia.
- It was very important. Unfortunately, there is a lot to do there. Enormously many children feel bad all over the world, but also here. It was a good conference.
