thanks for the information and pictures, I did manage to find my daughter in one of them. It was such a big day for her especially signing the swedish national anthem at the state dinner.

Has their majesties left Australia yet? Or are they still here?

Here are some pictures without watermarks, all from Fotomarktplatz. The first four is from the Royal Couple's visit to Ayers Rock, the fifth is of the Queen outside the Opera House in Sydney, and the sixth is of the Royal Couple at the State Dinner hosted by the Premier of South Australia, Mike Rann, in Adelaide.

I'm more than a bit disappointed by Queen Silvia's choice of clothing during the state visit to Austalia:
- she was wearing her 1994 AND 1995 nobel price gowns...
- she was wearing both of her 50th & 60th birthday ball dresses again...
- she wore nothing but recycled daywear apart from the odd blouse, as far as I can tell... and so forth.
It woludn't hurt to come up with at least ONE new outfit during such a tour, I'd say. Somebody allow her to go on a major shopping spree soon, please!

A feather in any royal's hat that recycles their clothes. Unless you are a "fanatic" like us on these boards and have seen every piece of clothing the royals have, the outfits probably looked very appropriate and elegant to the hosts.

I agree with you there, but I don't know if they were the most appropriate outfits to wear in Australia. Heavy jackets and woollen coats maybe fine in Europe, but when it was over 30°C when she was here, it just isn't very practical.

That is excellent. Luckily, you have people here who know a lot about the queen and her family! :) Enjoy the site.

Yes, you are right. That being said, the Queen was her normal stylish self. God bless the Stylish Queen! But a lot of recycling nonetheless.
"This turquoise skirt reminds me of something, a person, who has gotten 50% of her chromosomes from the classy lady, has worn in Oz as well"
O, good. So it wasn't just me then. I was thinking the same thing when I saw that skirt. I know I would find it annoying too if I visited Australia and they kept asking me about Mary. This is a rather awkward pose by both men:

The king must have been distracted by something...

I love the pink/fuschia gown that Silvia wore. The outfit with the bolero was good too. Boleros are not worn often enough.

It's a bit late, but I found this article from the Brisbane newspaper 'The Coureir-Mail' dating from the time of their visit. It's a shame that most of the royal visits we get in Australia nowadays are not from our own royal family
