Thanks for all the photos Grand Duchess, fanletizia, and purple_platinum. I like Silvias black and white gala dress.

Funny you should say that. Driving home yesterday, I heard on the radio a man who had been invited to attend the Wine Centre event in Adelaide. He said that people got up and made speeches at the start of the event (politicians, business people etc) but afterwards when they had finished there was silence for a minute and no one really knew quite what to do. Just sounds like some bad planning to me.

Thanks everyone for the great photos. I just have to say this; it comforts me to know that if this shirt is good enough for the King of Sweden to wear, then I can stop being embarrassed when I see my father wearing such similar checked creations. :) Silvia looks really wonderful despite the 'extreme' heat. A stylish queen in any weather conditions! I don't know about anyone else, but I find it really annoying that at every visit, they bring up Crown Princess Mary into it. I understand she is/was Australian, but could you imagine being compared to someone else the whole visit? Interviewer: "So, how are you enjoying Australia?" Silvia: "Oh, it's lovely. I'm having a very nice time, etc, etc". Interviewer: "So, what do you think of Princess Mary?" [not the absence of "Crown"!] It's as if they would rather be talking to or about Mary than to the guests and about their country. Maybe I'm just thinking of how I would interpret it, but then again, I'm always jumping to very negative conclusions.

My sister saw the King and Queen today at Fremantle, Western Australia!!!
IM jealous! I cant believe i had to miss it! Its not often they would be in my town and when they are i cant see them!!! I'm studying for exams unfortunately.
She said there were lots of people to see them. There was also a news report on channel 10 of their visit.

I'm new to this site but am desperate for photos of the queens visit to the school in adelaide, my daughter attends the school and was fortunate enough to meet her, but I was unable to get any photos. She was also lucky enough to be involved in the state dinner on thursday night.

I must confess that it would get rather annoying if the media persisted with asking questions about the Crown Princess. Poor Silvia...must have become quite wary of the whole thing really and who could blame her?
I do hope Their Majesties enjoyed their time here and I wish them a most safe flight home.

King Carl XVI Gustaf visit the Water Hole at Uluru, also known as Ayers Rock, about 300 kilometers (180 mile) from Alice Springs in Australia's Northern Territory, Saturday Nov 12, 2005.

We should make a thread for bad pick up lines or such, which are considered only of males as good
On your example a woman would answer "With that shirt and that cap...yes, and I´m the tsarina of Russia"

Bad pick up lines would be a fun thread! I've had my fair share!
I also thought afterwards that with the hat (not so much the shirt) is channeling Daniel's style a bit! I wonder what pickup line Daniel used on Victoria or other royal pick up lines?!
