Nice to see the King in a good mood. The King and the Queen have a good relationship with president Halonen and doctor Arajärvi.

The Royal and the Presidential couple appear to enjoy each others company a lot - this has also been evident went they met on on earlier occasions.
Maybe someone could change the name of the topic though?
This is an official visit on the occasion of the Swedish-Finnish Bicentennial celebrations, but it's not a state visit.

The royal couple arrived to Turku Airport, they were welcomed by the minister of Housing, Jan Vapaavuori. From the airport they drove to the summer residence of the president of Finland - Kultaranta in Naantali, where the welcoming ceremonies took place. The Navy Band played the national anthems.

From Kultaranta president Halonen, doctor Arajärvi, the King and the Queen travelled to Turku with president Halonen´s yacht, Kultaranta 8. President Halonen offered lunch at the Turku Castle. After the seminar they visited the STX shipyard and Oasis of the Seas -cruise vessel, which will the biggest in the world when it is finished.

In the evening president Halonen will offer a private crayfish dinner to her royal guests.

In January the President Tarja Halonen visit Sweden there was a great Gala-Dinner in castle of Stockholm. And now a private Dinner for Markesaret-jubileum?! :ermm:

I read from the paper version of "Iltasanomat", that there were about 20 guests at the private crayfish dinner which president Halonen offered to her royal guests. Among the guests there were Minister for foreign Affairs, Alexander Stubb and Minister of Housing, Jan Vapaavuori. Alongside everyone´s plate there was a booklet of drinking songs, which they sang while eating crayfish and drinking schnapps (this is a tradition in Finland while eating crayfish). There weren´t any photos of the dinner at the paper version either.
