Scandinavian Heads of State at 1000th Anniversary Celebrations of Lithuania; June '09
On 6th July 2009 the royal couple attend the 1000years celebration in Vilnius/Litauen.
What is the program of the celebrations?

Again, the official website royalcourt.se is just a major disappointment.
They didn't put up any program for the Millenium celebration of Lithunia, just like they failed to list the program for Crown Princess Victoria's London visit.
If it wasn't for the photo agency's captions of their pics, nobody would know that she attended an evening in memory of Ingmar Bergman as well as a concert celebrating Sweden's EU Presidency at The Guildhall.
It's not getting any better with the Bernadotte PR department, it's rather getting worse.
Regarding the Millenium celebrations, there are various festive concerts in the evening of July 6th all over Lithuania, but needless to say, I have no idea what the King and Queen might attend…
I found a summary of the program of the Millenium visit on the website of the Swedish Lithuanian Embassy.
I don't know why royalcourt.se seems to be unable to provide the same info, or at least post the link to it...
Most of the events will be broadcast live on Lithuania TV:

I don't understand why this thread is called "Scandinavian Heads of State....". To me it seems to be only about a visit by the Sweedish Royals.
The Scandinavian Pennisula consists of several kingdoms including Norway and Denmark. Sweden is only one of these kingdoms.........

Seems you didn't check out the pics posted by LadyFinn?
It's called 'Scandinavian Heads of state..." because all Scandinavian monarchs attend:
ANP Beeldbank
What's not quite correct in the title is saying that this is the millenium celebration of Vilinius.
It's the millenium celebration of the name 'Lithuania', which was first mentioned in writing in 1009.
Hope we'll get some nice pics from the gala reception which will be held tonight at the Presidential Palace.

Yes I hope aswell. That is a beautiful picture of the monarchs together. They should meet more often.

The only consort there is Silvia, right? I'm not seeing Henrik or Sonja in any of the pics.
