i think PRym dress is very nice too

I think Mary's dress would've looked infinitely much better if it hadn't been that pale beige colour. Now it's hard to see where it ends and Mary begins ;)

It especially becomes clear in the pictures where Willem-Alexander escorts Maxima and Mary with Maxima in a very strong red.

The cut of the dress is excellent, in my opinion (a change from the teal dress' cut which I don't think suits her at all.) but considering how pale Mary is - it is wrong to add more pale colours. Just my opinion.

Totally agree norwegianne!

are there pictures of the Royals arriving or leaving Sweden.. (maybe of HRH Prince Christian of Denmark)

My my, we are a critical bunch are'nt we?.lol.

What other purpose do we Royal Enthusiasts serve, I dare say ;)

First & foremost, Mary.

On the first evening of festivities I was, well, slightly dissapointed as I am not a fan of her engagement gown, nor the jewellery HRH chose to wear. I was however, swept away by the semi grecian hairstyle Mary chose to wear which I thought to be so very, very flattering.

The second evening, GRACE itself as far as I'm concerned!!!

This two-piece ensemble is just so beautiful, so demure. The colour of the material is perfect, especially against HRH beautifully maintained crème complexion. In contrast with her luxurious dark hair, and peircing hazel brown eyes, one (meanning I) could'nt have hoped for a more becoming gown.

Its not fussy, nor is it extravegant. It is simply understated and because of that, I find it all the more elegant & appealing.

It is a style I compare only to that of the late Madame la Comtesse de Paris in her younger years.

Truely beathtaking!

The delicate make of the Crown Princesss' wedding tiara made it the perfect tiara for HRH over all look.

The superb emerald cut amquamarine, sapphire encrusted 5 row cultured pearl choker was too, a marvellous choice as was the aquamarine, diamond encrusted loop earings. I personally do not see how something so exquisite as this choker could age HRH persona, but, that's just me...

Now, Maxima...

Didn't HRH look just smashing in red?? Really, very beautiful!

Choice of tiara & brooch was a great one, but, thought the ruffled look of the gown really let her down, how lovely it would have been to have seen the actual gown similar to that of Victoria's. Still, I love seeing Maxima, her positivity and happy go lucky charatcer really makes one feel good. I appreciate that quality in her.

Mette-Marit...

I can't understand why such a beautiful woman dresses so, well...horrid at times. I do understand that for reasons of self image since giving birth that HRH would wish to cover up a little more and that is of course understandable but over the last two days I have been greatly dissapointed.

Her day wear on the other hand, was definitly a style that suits her very well.

Marie Chantal...

What can I say, once a socialite always a socialite even in style it would seem. Dont get me wrong, it suits her down to the ground but it has that society (go figure) edge that makes one believe all HRH does is sit around and look at what she shall wear to the next royal gathering.

It was a gorgeous gown however and with her fringe tiara...very, very impressive.

Mathilda...

To be honest, I'm not all that interested in the Belgian Royal Family so can't say I have payed any attention to what Mathilda wore. Her tiara is definitly a beautiful piece of craftmanship.

Victoria...

FAB...U...LOUS!!!

Her choice's of evening wear compliment her figure so well...and the pale blue looks really wonderful on her.

from Expressen :

Victoria & Madeleine

The King & The Queen, and The King's Sisters (Princesses Birgitta, Margaretha, & Christina)

The Royal Guests..

and other guest..
(ps. who's the lady on the last pic? she has a really nice colour of dress... turqouise..)

Article from HELLO
....................The calibre of the guest list wasn't the only thing making Saturday's party an unforgettable event, though, as Carl Gustaf was also showered with countless gifts. These ranged from the state portrait he received from Sweden's parliament to homemade cheesecake and jellies brought to his home by members of the public.

Stockholm's police department even gave the sovereign a global satellite positioning system, prompting his daughter Princess Madeline to joke that the gadget would likely take over from Queen Silvia as official royal map reader................

You made me so happy with that comment! I just love the late countess of Paris! She was such an elegant woman, and indeed, Mary is the one with the most elegance of the younger generation.

what was for dinner at the gala bday party.

I think the Swedish princesses could of got something new and outstanding as hostess.

Where's the Spanish Royal Family?. Why aren't more photos of the Kings of Spain?. It seems that they are hiding!! :p
I would liked to see Princess Letizia with the Kings. I think these events were perfect to see the Princess without "her prince", at least for one day.:)

Thank you!

A massive thank you to everyone who have posted all these beautiful photographs over the last four days. :)

She didn´t, I got it mixed up with the one she wore at Nobel 2005, but this one had a different fabric, a thing I noticed after I wrote my messege. But its very similar to Nobel 2005. But it looked great on her either way

I think its the same dress from Nobel 2005 but modified. She's done that before with her dresses so they look new I guess.

That group picture of the younger royals is fabulous!!
