MälarScouts tell about the day
The Scouts' honorary chairman, His Majesty the King, arrived and was shown the activities by a small group from the MälarScouts' board. The king talked to the scouts, and cheered as they competed in the various disciplines. The king also looked at the exhibition "MälarScouts 90 years" which the archive group created in the K2 cottage. There, the King found, among other things, a picture of himself and a scout friend.
Chairman Teo Elmfeldt gave a tribute speech, which was followed by presentations and speeches from the Scouts' chairman Ida Texell, Stockholm's Scout district and our neighboring corps. Finally, the King topped all appearances with a speech that ended with the King's specialty - the rocket!

The King said at his closing speech at the BP Fellows Recognition Event among other things:
"One of the memories that I cherish the most from this summer, is when the Queen and I, together with a few BP Fellows, visited “Jamboree22”, in Kristianstad in the south of Sweden.
At the jamboree, we spoke with Scouts and leaders from all over Sweden, and we also met with a group of visiting young Scouts from Ukraine.
Interacting with young Scouts and taking part in their activities is always very rewarding – and also lot of fun!"
