I'm trying to compile photos of tiara event for Queen Silvia and right now I'm focusing on the state visits (and official visits that have had tiara events) that she's participated in.

Has anyone ever seen a photo of Carl & Silvia's visit to Belgium in March 1977? Did Silvia even go? I know she participated in other state visits while pregnant, but I've not seen photos of this State Visit. Just the Belgian one to Sweden in 1994 and then the Swedish State Visit to Belgium in 2001.

Also, has anyone seen photos of their state visit to Japan in 1980?

Yes I have seen photos of their state visit to Japan. The photo you posted below is from their trip. Would you like me to find you other photos as well? I have 7 in my book including the one you found but I am sure I could find them on the internet if you would like to see them!

I hadn't really taken note before but Madeleine really does look like her mother when her mother was young. The resemblance is striking. :flowers:

Aren't they gorgeous! :flowers: I adored Queen Silvia growing up. She was my role-model. Such a warm, gracious and delicate woman. So classy.

Oh my, where to begin! They are all so lovely. :flowers: The picture with the 1930's cloche hat I think would be my first choice, but so many great ensembles over the years. Such a great woman! My role model when I was growing up. I adore her. :)
