to be completely honest I don't understand why they would lie, I mean we'd figure it out sooner or later so that's why I'm assuming they're truthful about all this. Anyways I wish the king a very speedy recovery.And good to see the family visiting him.

I notice that Felipe is driving the car for himself and Letizia. Is that normal? It seems most royals don't do that. Did he drive all the way from Madrid to Barcelona? Or, maybe he was staying with his sister who lives in Barcelona (or is she the one who moved to DC)? How long a drive is it from Madrid to Barcelona?

8 hours in a good day! They usually drive for themselves even I've seen the queen driving. Probably they arrived to Barcelona by plane and then they got the car to go to the hospital. I. Cristina who lived in Barcelona is the one who moved to WDC so I doubt they stayed at her house.

I heard they flied to Barcelona, picked up a car at the airport and drove it to the hospital. Felipe just came back on a 10-hour overnight flight from Costa Rica.
If the tumor is malignant, it's impossible to hide, he would have to go through a few months of chemotherapy like Harald of Norway. If the King comes back to work in a couple of weeks or a month, then it already proves that the tumor is benign.

Agree with you. We will know in the coming weeks if the King gets back to his work. But for now, let's hope all is well.

its all a bit over the top, the family smiling their hearts out, promoting their usual "all is well" message when it comes to family issues (with the amount of beauty procedures already going on in this family, sofia should have done something about the her teeth), zapatero giving a press conference in the hospital ...

the degree of courting the media, posing for happy photoshoots on every single visit is quite borderline to me.

whatever, hopefully JC will be up and running soon. i do believe that everything is fine, it would be difficult to hide chemo or radiotherapy from the public in the long run.

is there any reason for letizia to chew gum all the time - it looks awful in front of the cameras.
