The promised interior pics of the different residences!:)

Here are the promised interior pics I scan from books:

1. behind Fischbach castle/ Henri in his office
2. inside the Palace; in the "Salle des Rois" (Room of Kings) where many portraits of sovereigns are decorating the walls
3. inside the Palace; the upper floor which is in white, yellow and golden colours
4. inside the Palace; in the hall where the guests of the Grand Ducal family are received (the Grand Duchess gave her signature in the interior design:) )
5. the so called "Country Look" inside Fischbach castle
6. above Fischbach castle and below Berg castle:)
7. Fischbach castle

These interior pics come from Telecran and Revue. It's the special editions before Henri's throne achievement and they had many pics and interesting reports!

Well I'm a "fan" of the Grand Ducal family since 1992 but I began collecting pics and articles of them in 2000 as Grand Duke Henri achieved the throne.

There were many reports of them in magazines, newspapers and on television and it was a delight for me to search more background informations. So I'm collecting since four/five years.
I know pretty much from a report called Zwee Liewen fier e Land (two lifes for one country), so for example that Grand Duchess Josephine Charlotte is filming in her freetime and Grand Duke Jean is chief-scout.:)
Prince Guillaume (son of Henri) is very pleased to become a Grand Duke one day, but his younger brother Felix won't have this role and is happy that he is not the eldest son.

In 1992 Grand Duke Jean visited my village and I was very pleased that I could greet him (I was only 8 years old at that time!)with my school.:)
From that moment on I like the Grand Ducal family and sooner I learn more about the Grand Ducal family and they are all very sympathic.
I find it fascinating to know something about Royals and to see that they are also human beings with a heart on the right site.
The Luxembourgers have a very special relationship with the Grand Ducal family and one of the reasons for that is the small superficy of the country. In Great Britain it will be really hard to meet the Queen or Prince Charles but in small countries you have better chances. Certainly in Monaco there are people who meets Rainier's family everyday!

Prince Charles died of a heart attack in 1977 - he was survived by his wife Joan and their two children, Princess Charlotte and Prince Robert.

The correct pronounciation of the names!:)

I think it is a good idea to post how the names of the Grand Ducal family are pronounced in a correct way. Most of the forum users are used to speaking English and it is very difficult for them to pronounce French names or words.

Guillaume: Gi - om
Henri: Hon-ri (the "n" is not pronounced, the "en" in Henri is similar to the "or" in morning, in morning you don't pronounce the "r")
Jean: Jon (the "n" is not pronounced, similar to Henri)
Louis: Lu-i
Sebastien: Se-bas-tiien (the "i" is long)

All the other names like Josephine Charlotte, Alexandra, Felix or Margaretha are easy to pronounce for people not used to speaking French.

I found a site where it pronounces the names in French, including the names drimal mentioned.

Boy Names: http://french.about.com/library/trav...fr-names-m.htm
Girls Names: http://french.about.com/library/trav...fr-names-f.htm (my name is there as well :p)
