Henri de Ligne (1989) with his parents Michel de Ligne and Eleonora "Leonor" Maria of Orleans-Bragança.

Michel is the first cousin of Grand Duke Henri. His mother, Princess Alix, is Grand Duke Jean's sister.

Does anybody know if Philippe and Mathilde are going to cancel their trip to Luxembourg due to the sad circumstances in Belgium right now?
I know this might be a dumb question [I'm living in Australia, Victoria], well...what are the sad circumstances in Belgium?

I simply adore the beautiful jacket that the Grand Duchess is wearing. So exquisite! A very happy occasion for the family.

Queen Anne-Marie looks so beautiful! Seems to be a mixture from an inner and a physical beauty.
I´m very disappointed that CP Mette-Marit didn´t come along. So it´s only half the fun for me.

Here is the reason Mette-Mairt is not in Luxembourg
Accoridng to Vg there had been to much travelling for the Crown Princess who still nurses and Sverre Magnus, after first flying to Thailand and then the Coronation journey, they stay in Trondheim and the trip to the mountains, the couple and their advisors thought it would be to much travelling for mother and child. The program in Luxembourg on Saturday was so tight it would be difficult to take nursing breaks

Strange that they just thought about that one day before the celebrations, they must have known about this from the beginning...

i loved everything mt had on. she looked marvelous. however she looked a bit out of place b/c everyone else was in cocktail dresses. personally, i think she did it on purpose b/c of the fact that everything was in her honor and henri's. dunno. i must say i'm uber happy to see alex in some color. looks nice on her. i was begining to get concerned about felix, as we haven't seen him in ages; he seems to have put on a little weight, which looks nice on him, and guillaume does too, as he seems to have lost a little. i didn't like what silvia had on at all, as it reminded me of a swimsuit cover that i have, that pattern, yuck. all in all, mt did look the best.

Stephsisters Stacey and Nathalie (9 and 11 yo) were lost for over a week in Liege and found dead only 2 days ago, one of them was raped. The disappearance of the girls shocked the country and the court issued a statement that it deeply saddened the King and Queen (the King even had a talk to the mother of the girls before they were found). I believe one of them (or both) are burried today.

Maxima was in New York, for a meeting of a UN counsil on an open financial sector, so she couldn't attend.

Anyway, there were a LOT of belles of the ball tonight IMO, but I just loved the Duchess of Braganca, she looked great! Sybilla and young Alexandra looked stunning as well, as did Queen Fabiola and the always radiant Grand Duchess.

About the absence of Albert and Paola: The preliminary guest list is known since more than two weeks and Albert and Paola never appeared on the list. I don’t think they are absent because of the death of the two girls. It’s their own wedding anniversary tomorrow – so maybe they have other plans instead.

Everyone looks great! I especially liked seeing Princess Sibilla- she's so pretty and we hardly get to see any pictures of her.
