You know that after Henri married Maria Teresa on 14th February 1981, his sisters Margaretha (march 1982 with Prince Nikolaus of Liechtenstein) and Marie-Astrid (6th February 1982 with Archduke Carl-Christian of Austria) married in 1982. Is that a coincidence?
Perhabs Princess Marie Astrid met Carl-Christian on Henri's wedding or Margaretha met Prince Nikolaus on one of the two weddings before.:p
If you want to see wedding pictures of Marie Astrid and Margaretha you can see them here:

I'm mystified by the maid in honor of MT's wedding. Is she MT's sister? She's a knockout too, very spanish.

I've picked up again that picture lori talked about and another picture of young Maria Teresa to compare.
And I would say that the young lady on this picture is her sister Catalina and the old women is Maria Teresa's mother!

Are there any pics of Maria Teresa and Henri when they were "courting"?

Her life was really private when she was younger and wasn't a Grand Duchess.

Very sweet and charming look at her when she was younger. I have only recently started following the Luxembourg family and I find MT to be quite an interesting royal. Lovely pictures.

I have actually heard it was the other way around - GD Jean persuaded Josephine-Charlotte We may never know.
J-C was considered the closest to her youngest son, prince Guillaume, and his marriage was the one she was the happiest about.
Haven't got a photo of MT when she was young but here's lovely one of GD Henri and his siblings, sans Guillaume. From Profimedia.

pics of the engagement
I have pics of the engagement somewhere in my archives: Maria Teresa in a Chanel suit after a photo shoot outside the palace where she wore all brown blouse with French tie and skirt. She was very charming and a refreshing change. I wish she had done more to keep her figure.Always have admired her.Ihave to find the pics. This is quite a love story.God Bless the two of them.

In the pictures of Maria Teresa and Catalina as little girls, they seem to have reddish hair. And in one of the teen pictures of Maria Teresa the same. The only one of her children who has reddish hair is Sebastien. Of course lighting in picture taking may change the color.
