Thanks Catherine, I have a bit the same impression of Paola, she and Albert seem very happy these days, and sometimes just madly in love (I cannot recall any other queen kissing her husband in public). And true, she seems to be modest, unaffected and natural, something which is true for the entire belgian RF & which I admire.

I think Queen Paola is a very attractive woman now, but when I look at the older pictures of her....she's absolutely gorgeous. And the clothes seem stylish now! What a beautiful woman.

I don't know her lebel of Flemish but king and queen of Belgium both must know and speak perfectly French and Flemish, and the same is for Crown Princess Philipp and Princess Mathilde.

Hannelore's right, Paola's Dutch (or Flemish if you like) isn't good and that's a great shame. It aren't just the king and queen and the crownprince and his wife who should be perfectly bilingual, but the entire royal family. Paola doesn't set a good example.

Antwerpeen is just a Flemish city, the capital of the Flemish country ....

Queen Paola was born in Italy, so it's possible that she doesn't speak perfectly Flemish ...
