I get a kick out of Paola in the best way -- she is just always herself. I especially like that in the photos of her with the President's wife, walking through the snow, she has on "practical" shoes! Her outfit is perfectly elegant but with the shoes -- she went for what was sensible. Very lovely photos -- thanks to all who have posted.

Belgium's royal couple, King Albert II and Queen Paola, arrived in Lithuania at the start of the first visit by a Belgian monarch to the former Soviet republic. "King Albert II expressed hope that this visit will give a new impetus for cooperation between the two countries," the Lithuanian president's information bureau said in a statement after the monarch met with Lithuanian President Valdas Adamkus.
