These two men are closely related. Both the King of the Belgians and the Prime Minister[ he was formerly King Simeon II of Bulgaria] are both decended from the German Ducal House of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha.
This same House produced Prince Albert[ Queen Victoria's husband] and the Duchess of Kent[Queen Victoria's mother]. They are related to HM The Queen[of the UK] also.
