November 19, 2004: Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik bid farewell to Japanese Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko at the Akasaka Palace State Guesthouse in Tokyo. The Danish royal couple were in Japan to help kick off celebrations marking next year's bicentennial of the birth of Han Christian Andersen.
The Queen and the Prince Consort will now embark on a three day personal holiday to Okinawa, Japan. Thanks to some persistent photographers, we'll the get pics, yippeee..:)

Loved her gown from the first royal banquet--the gold one. I think she may have incorporated the flower design in her gown. Could it be a chrysanthemum?

An unofficial dinner with Danish Queen Margrethe II and Japanese Emperor Akihitowas held on 18 November 2004 at The Imperial Residence .
Crown Princess Masako attended it!
(Princess Masako suspended all her official duties in December 2003
and has rarely been seen in public.)
