To me, it doesn't mean anything.
salma smiles all the time to the camera without any business in her country, even when she was in Paris with P. Mathilde and Bernadette Chirac. She seems to be always excited.
lalla meryem has more experience and she reflects a personality with more intelligence.

Simplicity is the best proof of the self-confidence
lalla salma doesn't know what it is the simplicity, in her way to dress or to behave she is always excessive, what proves that to the opposite, she doesn't have any confidence in herself

I am not sure, but I read once, that when King Mohamed VI married Selma, he changed the protocol so as she enters first, ahead of the other princesses including his sisters.
