RABAT, Feb. 02 – H.M King Mohammed VI, accompanied by HRH prince Moulay Rachid and Prince Moulay Ismail, performed on Sunday the prayer of Aid Al-Adha (sacrifice feast) in the Ahl Fez mosque in Rabat.
The sovereign was greeted at the mosque by the prime minister, the speakers of the two parliamentary houses, the government members and several other officials. After the prayer, H.M the king immolated a sheep in conformity with the Islamic tradition. Aid Al Adha is a celebration marking the willingness of Abraham to sacrifice his son, Ismael, at God’s behest. It is a time-honored family gathering during which every household that can afford it, purchases a sheep for immolation. H.M the king granted on this occasion pardon to 360 convicts similarly to all religious or national feasts. |

Mexican president: Visit to Morocco, follow up of talks with Moroccan King :) Mexico City, Feb 10 – Mexican president, Vicente Fox Quesada, who is expected in Morocco on Friday for a two-day official visit said his trip to Morocco, at the invitation of HM King Mohammed VI, will be an opportunity to follow up on themes debated and commitments taken during the Moroccan sovereign visit to Mexico last January. Fox told MAP correspondent in Mexico the visit will also help carry on talks on regional and international issues, particularly the reform of the United Nations Organization. After noting the two countries’ willingness to lend a new impetus to bilateral ties, mainly in trade and investment, the head of the Mexican state stressed that his visit will also help carry out investments and trade promotion actions as well as agreements concluded by the two countries last November. Of bilateral economic cooperation which he described as below existing potentials in the two countries, Fox, who announced he will be accompanied by a business delegation, argued that the private sector has a leading part to play in boosting economic ties. He recalled in this context that the signing of a cooperation convention between the two countries’ employers associations is meant to lay the bases for economic cooperation upgrading. He also insisted that Mexican business operators are keenly interested in exploring business opportunities in Morocco and diversifying their markets, explaining that Morocco can be a gateway for Mexico to untapped profitable markets, particularly in North Africa and the Arab world. For Morocco, he stressed, Mexico offers access to markets in central, southern and other Latin American countries. He also cited tourism as another promising sector for cooperation between the two countries, which both boast a rich and centuries-old civilization can promote their cooperation. To a question on his country’s stance on the Sahara issue, the Mexican president said his country has a policy of « positive neutrality » that is conform to Mexico’s aspirations for world peace, for harmony between nations and for good bilateral, regional and international relationships. President Fox further praised the Moroccan king’s vision on several North African and Middle East issues as well as on Morocco’s ties with Spain and the European Union. President Fox’s official is the first ever by a Mexican head of state to an Arab country. Wow! I love Salma's outfit, for once she looks incredibly put together. I still think she could do something else with her hair though but at least she looks very well-presented. I'm surprised at how little make-up she's wearing, I thought she didn't wear alot generally, but it's clear from these pictures that on most occasions she is heavily made-up.

I saw the princess on the Tv for this dinner, she seems too tense and not warm at all, I don't know why? I would like to see her more warm and more comfortable, because this dinner is very important for the relkationship between us and algeria
I remarked also that everytime our official personalities go in algeria, the welcome is very nice and very warm (I saw that on TV), and for me that indicated that algerian have a big self-confidence I wonder if in algeria people saw lalla salma and what they think about her attitude |

they think her presance could give a warm posh to the relation between the two country and they don't exept that honnor. for the warm welcome from the algerians ppl to the moroccans I have to desagree whit you because if the moroccans are welcome in algeria why the The authorities Prevented the moroccan and frensh actor jamal debouz to go to algeria in despite of his great particupation in the movie "les ingienes". I liked the color of her caftan very beautiful. |
