Dubai World Cup 2015 starts on Saturday at Meydan Racecourse in Nad Al Sheba
More than 1200 owners, trainers and team members will partake in the event this year. The Dubai World Cup features northern hemisphere thoroughbred four-year-olds and over and southern hemisphere thoroughbred three-year-olds. Since 2010, the purse prize for the event is set at US $30-million. The feature race purse is set at US $10-million, making it the richest horse race in the world.
Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, HRH Princess Haya bint Al Hussain and Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum attended a dinner banquet this evening hosted in Burj Khalifa, along with the owners, trainers and guests attending the 20th Dubai World Cup horse race.
