That's not Princess Haya, thecaption has it wrong.
Haya was pictured with Sheikh Mohammed that same day wearing something totally different. The figure of the lady in the picture & Haya are also a bit different.

It is not a necklace, its prayer beads, instead of holding it, he decided to put it around his neck. It's used in many religions.
