This morning HM received informateur Ivo Opstelten at Huis ten Bosch Palace as he
gave HM his concluding report on the talks to form a cabinet.That collapsed thursday,
so,HM has to start all over again with appointing and/or talks with each fraction leader.

A very simple reason for Princess Alexia being absent, may be that it's
been easier for Queen Beatrix to have two children with her only, one
girl left and one girl right, that's much easier to handle than three..
After all the Queen has been there for an official reason so she had to
be free of stress

Or maybe she didn't feel like going anywhere like kids often do,or maybe she had a birthday party of a friend to go to.
Nothing to do with HM being able to handle any situation or not.

all the islands in the Caribbean formerly known as the Dutch Antilles one year from now,end 2011.

The RVD announced the visit on the eve of the dissolving of the Netherlands Antilles in its present state tonight at midnight.

HM attended the premiere of the musical "Soldier of Orange" last night at the hangar of the former Royal Airforce Base "Valkenburg".
HRH Princess Irene and TH Prince Pieter-Christiaan and Princess Anita,who were very close to Erik who was best man at
his wedding,were in attendance as well.

The story of Erik Hazelhoff Roelfzema,a student who got involved in the resistance during WWII and escaped to England,but went to and fro the Netherlands several times for espionage and sabotage during that period.In London he met with Queen Wilhelmina and after the war she appointed him as her private secretary.He was employed as such for several years after which he moved to the US and eventually lived on Hawai for decades.He died a few years ago and always remained a very close friend and confidant of the RF,from Wilhelmina upto the younger generation.One heck of a guy!And,it's always nice to know something more on a subject instead of blind copying whatever a pic reads.so much more worthwhile too..
